they start building in 2010 but no complete date was stated, at least not in the article Rich posted.

2010 is when they hope to start the transit building. i assume they're gonna start that after they get the money from the tower. they're using the sale/lease of the tower to fund the transit center, which is that 2-cityblock long patch in front of the tower renderings.

Bottom-Right. You can see the left side of the front of the building. Has the 4 Huge AC boxes on the roof. That tall building sticking up on the very-buttom right is blocking the courtyard area that's on the front-right half of the building.

it looks like the only thing going for #2 is the wind turbine at the top. that's a cool concept, but would reduce the sleek factor tremendously.

it's a two tower race on the reader poll on sfgate.com between #1 and #3...

i like this design the most too and not just because the performing arts park creates another outdoor venue for edm promoters the whole center pedestrianizes the city much like nyc and the sweeping arches at the base of the great hall would probably look incredible from the street corner

this is just incredible... the two buildings combined function as solar, wind and geothermal power, cooling, and water treatment plants. the lobby will be an enormous arched digital art screen and the outdoor park is open venue for music concerts. base-isolated (like city hall) design built to withstand a 2500 year seismic event. i can't fuckin wait for this thing!
