so ive just said my farewells to my mum...
i have just seen my mum for the last time in god knows how long.. as tomorrow she is leaving to go live in france.
everything was nice with relatives until i had to leave.. and hugged my mum and said good bye, then she starts crying and stuff.. which was horrible, as now im not sure what i feel like.. yeah sure ill see her again, but i just feel a bit like i should be crying, but im not. and the fact that she is going away to live in another country with a bastard that used to beat me, and if anything happens like a big argument, i wont be there staraight away to deck the bastard, makes me feel wierd.
im not sure what to think or feel.
has anyone else ever felt this like or had a simliar situation?
there there.
You're acting as if she's moving across the world. Take a Ferry accross the Englsih Channel and you're in France.
from reading the title, it could be worse.
ah i know it could be worse... and if it was as simple as just going to france at the drop of a hat.. then this thread wouldnt have been made
You just feel like you're not gonna be able to be there to protect her anymore.
I can understand why you feel like that but i mean...this might change things. If not, its not that far away to quickly fly back.
too bad my mom is not going to france...i'd switch places with you in a jif!

Yes, thank you again for proving his point.
Back on topic, it sucks to hear that you won't be able to defend your mother, but she needs to accept some personal responsibility and make things better for herself. I never understand why women allow themselves to stay in abusive relationships. If he hasn't restrained himself from hitting you the 5th or 6th time, then what makes you think the 7th or 8th time will be different?
Hard fact: You women can't change every man you meet.

I have this situation. My family lives in NY and I live in Australia; I was the one who left. I hate saying goodbye and I don't know when this living situation will change.
England and France are pretty close...

i wish my father would leave his c/unt wife (shes my birth mother too). stupid bitch needs to be beaten so that she has no common sense. at least then shed have a reason to do the things she does.
and although i feel that way about my fathers wife, i havent seen any of my immediate family with the exception of 1 of the 6 sisters i have in 5 years. because of this i hate the holidays. i cant stand them. i hope for the best in your situation but i totally understand how you feel.

Look on the brightside. Nothing as cool as jumping in a plane fed up with things to visit mom unannounced. Travelling doesn't cost much these days.
I'm flying a 3000 km's distance after 4 weeks for 135 euro's.
