Stores

Hey, within the next week im going to purchase an xone 92 (still havent decided weather to go for the rotary or not) and 2 cdj 100 mk3's. I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of the best online store to buy what i want, as i bought my current setup locally.

Thanks in advance; Anthony Chan

is djdeals.com a reliable site?

Posted by IntegraR0064 on Aug-08-2007 13:58:

No, DJdeals is not a reliable site, as I'm sure others will tell you.

Our store specializes in high end packages like that one - I'm assuming you're talking about CDJ-1000mk3's? We can get a really good price on those.

I'll PM you a price later today from our shop.

I've ordered from www.topdjgear.com several times and received quality products and service.

Yeah, badmouthing your competitors is a really good marketing technique and it really gives a honest image of your business

I'm not badmouthing...it's the truth. I'm sure you've seen the numerous threads about "djdeals customer service sucks", etc. They are also not an authorized dealer for Pioneer. It's really not a good idea to order from them.

In order to be fair though, so everyone knows I'm not just badmouthing people to get business, here's the best site that I've ever ordered from, that are also my competitors...they are really good - www.agiprodj.com

Yes im talking about the mk3's, and that sounds good... not ordering from djdeals then.

Edit: Does your store carry the Korg Zero4?

Im pretty sure i will
although the korg zero 4 just popped into my mind

I've bought most of my equipment from agiprodj.com, although it was before their recent 'restructuring', where they were going to shift their focus away from catering to DJs. I haven't bought any equipment lately, but they had excellent service and response time.

They are located in Washington, so shipping hopefully won't take very long to Vancouver.

OT: I was in Vancouver in late June. I still want to live there, although I'm not sure if they have any jobs there suited for me.

Thanks for your reply, Vancouver is very nice, although some spots downtown are bad, for the most part the city is beautiful. What kind of jobs are you looking for?

heard nothing but good things actually

I have bought from AGI and DJ Deals a few times and had no problems with either. Like someone before said, however, I wouldn't buy PIO gear from DJDeals since they're not an authorized dealer.

Are you planning on using Ableton or midi control?

If so, then the VRM-10 is out since it doesn't have midi. If you're going to be using midi heavily, then probably the korg would be best.

If not, it's all personal preference, although I'd probably not get the Korg if you're not using midi features since that's its big selling point.

BTW I'm checking with my distributor about the Korg, I'll get back to you today as promised.

Im Starting to get into Abletron, just messing around with it, and i want the option of encorporating it into my sets, i may just get the korg. Tho the Vrm-10 looks pretty nice to mix on...

I can second a "thumbs-up" for pssl. I got my turntable from them, and they had good service. The prices can be pretty good, especially on a sale, and you can get a free catalog sent to you from them, which is good for having a paper view of all of the mixers available, etc.
