I hate cats!!!

I once had the greatest cat of all time and the worst cat of all time, at the same time. Funny enough, my mom got rid of the greatest cat of all time because it wasn't getting along with the worst cat of all time. So now I'm stuck with the worst cat of all time. I hate cats.

+1 unless its bold like my cat. i cant stand the hair.

i rather have a pet cat than watch the musical Cats on Broadway

I would have to argue the fact that cats are better pets than dogs.

1) You must earn your loyalty with them unlike dogs where they will be your best friend as long as you give them a bone or rub their tummy.
2) They are like having kids.....sometimes even worst. They chew things up, constantly need attention, have to be walked at least once a day, need a babysitter when the family goes on vacation (cats...you can leave for a couple days and as long as they have food and water they will be fine.)
3) You have to clean up their shit when you take them for walks unless you feel like paying a fine if you get caught.
4) Big dogs require lots of food and can get expensive while little dogs are just a pain in the ass.

Don't get me wrong......I love dogs to death and if my current living situation was good enough, I would love to have one but....as I stated before......they require way to much time and attention and I would never try to devote that to a dog when I knew it was not possible. Maybe someday when I'm retired or married and I wanna take old pootch down to the lake to do some fishing....then I will think about getting one (Golden Lab or German Sheppard are my favs) but until then......cats will be my best friend! anyway i think i could loveeeee *either* a cat or a dog though. Everytime I see a small dog i just *MELT* so i guess i prefer dogs right now. the only thing with cats is that i was told that you need to get TWO of them so they don't get lonely, and that makes sense. i dont think i would personally be able to afford having *two* cats

Honestly, I think that next time you're at my house I'll formally introduce you to my Louie. He may not be a smart man, but he knows what love is.

I just took another look at Brian's unbelievably gorgeous cats and am both horrified and ecstatic comparing them to poor little ghetto Louie....

aww dont say that!!! Louie was SWEET as i recall also, Brian's cats are Bengals (well at least Jasper's a Bengal i know that for sure)

Aslan is a Bengal as well....he is what they call a Seal Mink Bengal while Jasper is a Spotted Tabby Bengal.

Poor Louie.....I remember when Jasper had to wear one of those......he was not a happy cat at all!

I personally Like dogs better. But having Jasper & Aslan around is awesome. I wouldn't change it for anything. BUT, as Brian said, IF living conditions were ideal, Jasper & Aslan would have a sister/brother in the form of a dog. But, as both of us work for Con Ed, we constantly are sorking crazy shifts and to have a dog would be more a hassle and even worse unfair to the dog.
Plus then there's the cleaning up after the dog. I am sure Brian is ready to kill me already cause he priamrily changes the litter box. On the few occasions I have to do it, it's not pretty. The minute I start scooping the stuff out, I start to dry heave and gag and wind up almost throwing up. It usually takes me 10 minutes to do something that takes 1 minute in reality.
So Kudos to Brian for changing the litter. He spare me alot of grief. Thanks bro.
