The annoying thing about 161 having such good acts is that you just know 100 coke sniffing, bouncer-blowing bitches will make it in front of you, and have no idea, nor give a shit, about who is playing on that particular night.

I agree wholeheartedly, it's pretty much my favourite club in Melbourne too.

Although I despise the non-musical bitches, the place wouldn't be half as good without them. Music is always tops too. Steve Bleas FTW.

You might be suprised. I went to 161 for King Unique and it was relatively quiet, plenty of room right up front on the dancefloor.

I like the decor, wasnt bothered by the crowd. The smoking alley is a bit narrow though

Yeah, but 161 is worse for it than somewhere like Brown Alley (oranges and apples, I know).

I like the crowd at 16, always heaps of hot women, it's just that it's a pain to get in sometimes, like if you only have 2 blokes and 1 chick.

When I saw H-Man @ 16, I met fair few people that night who were there just for him! So I guess it all depends. Im sure NOT everyone who goes Brown Alley knows who the djs are.

If its so hard for guys, Im sure if you get there EARLY you will have no problems getting in + bring more girls with you then.

I'm well aware of how to get in, but at times, circumstances out of my control can prevent me, or anyone, from doing the above.

In all seriousness, certain types of clubs would be really shit without decent door policies. The stricter the better in some cases, 161 being a prime example. Besides...it's not that often that we have hassles there.

Remember when Mudvayne or people dressed as them turned up at the 161 door? It was on TV, pretty funny stuff.

I agree that a lot of clubs in Melbourne could do with some kind of policy although, why are people always worse in the clubs that are hard to get in to?
