Going to Dubai.

Hey.

This evening i am taking my flight to Dubai for 2 weeks to visit my mom and have some vacation as well

I was curious if any of you have been there or know some people that have been there.

I am very curious what i could do there, except for the beach and sea

Give clubs!!

my uncle regularly goes on business. He says that it's a big contrast, between the rich and the really poor. Personally I'd love to walk past the big name hotels, maybe go take a pee in them for the sake of having been in, see the palm island & the world, spend some time on the beach, and then see where everyone goes at night & follow them

nah..dubai is liberal compared to other arab states. I'm prerry sure the sheikhs tolerate these kind of things.

stay at the Burj Al Arab

go to the sook & get yourself some cheap bling. Gold is the cheap.

Take a tour down the river. Go to emerates the baursh (or how ever it is pronounced), the big sail hotel thing. I stayed in the hotel opposite it, it's a nice. You gotta spend a day at wild wadies water park, the uphill tubing is fucking awsome, as is the stepest water slid... & also experience the indoor skeeing complex.

Oh yeah, there is so much construction going on. They got cranes everywhere. It is like a sci-fi movie landscape... so take pics.

The people who live there are on real shit salaries. They are friendly people, so chat to them & hear their stories... they will probably ask you how to get a passport into your country.

There is no crime there either. They have a no crime policy... but there is crime behind back doors & the police turn a blind eye to things they can not see... so if you want cheap shit, you gotta go around the back alleys.

I totally read that as finance.

That will also make sense I guess.

it'd go towards the huge costs! I think he's been quoted a 4 or 5 night stay on emirates economy flights as 3100 for the 2 of them, that's about 6000 dollars but it is in a slightly better than low-end room, i think a suite or something.

Thanks for the tips!

I am not going to bother with hotels. my mom will give me a room to stay and food and such

Will spend my money on goodies and i hope some clubbing. But i need to meet people there fast since am going alone. My couzin is coming there late august sadly. I have to be back in Holland by then for school

I go there about twice a year on my way to Riyadh... Advice, visit Mall of the Emirates, see the Burj Al Arab (big sail building), and finally stay inside as much as you can, its the most miserable weather ever with 100+ F and what seems like 100% humiidity. Oh and don't bother taking a shower in the morning, you'll sweat as soon as you walk outside.
