that should piss off some cd and record collectors, haha

If only he would tone down the vocal stuff..he might have made a decent new album. "Behind The Sun" was nice because it wasn't overwhelming vocal based.

LOL yeah my thoughts exactly... This cd sells for such high prices on ebay it was just a matter of time the re-release would come. The old is just a piece of shit worth now (or soon)

i should short the market.

Yep, i remember when Simply Vinyl (S12) Re-Pressed Tilt - Invisible with THAT rare remix on it. Bet that pissed alot of people off who payed top wack for the original white label.

As for Chicane's new album, i thought it was dreadful. Thats probably why he's re-releasing Maddening Crowds. Because somersault didnt do so well

OH YEAH! Luckly I had two copies of the original white label and didn't pay a lot for either... otherwise I would have been pissed, no doubt.

If this indeed is re-released (sometimes this kind of news never becomes a reality... think "People Want To Be Needed") then hopefully some people "short the market" for their sake.

This would be good news for me, though I don't think a new remix of Offshore was really necessary.

he said "necessary"... which is a matter of opinion, but i can see his point... it's that entire "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" thing.

Actually it'll still be worth it to CD collectors. You don't seem to be familiar with how they think.

You dont even have to hear it.

Why bother tinkering around with it. The Disco Citizens and Original are fine as they are.

Imagine this

Chicane - Offshore (Chicane's 2007 Rework)

It was a flop.

HAH!

nice i always wanted a copy of this ^_^! though not that interested in the bonus track

Posted by daphunky1 on Aug-15-2007 17:08:

for sure. what can really be done to offshore to improve it at all? I'd like to be surprised, but I expect the new mix will just take away from the overall vibe of the disco citizen's, to make for an alrite track.

I actually enjoyed the unreleased "easy to assemble" album for what it was....a bunch of nice catchy pop songs, thought it had no tunes that compared to the quality of either of the previous albums.

it never officially came out. promos went out but they got leaked & sold illegally on a bunch of sites.. so nick pulled the release

and while offshore doesn't really *need* a new remix, it would be nice to hear a fresh take on it from its original creator, i think. plus there haven't been that many other remixes of it (to my knowledge)

I can't listen to anything by Chicane that hasn't been touched by the Thrillseekers.

got to agree with you there,

instead I would have released a bonus disc (Remastered) Chicane - Live from Palladium (01-22-00) Classic!

Posted by Arraias on Aug-15-2007 19:04:

great news to me, because i don't have the old FFTMC now that's my chance, about offshore for me the best version is the live (Palladium) i dream with a studio version of this.
