forgotten original mixes
Examples of songs whose remixes were way more popular than the original versions, resulting in some originals being lost forever to the dustbin. in fact many of the originals are totally different from the familiar remixes.
energy 52 - cafe del mar(1993)
art of trance - madagascar(1998)
ayla - ayla(1995)
transa - prophase(1996, original rereleased in 2002)
underworld - born slippy
any other examples?
Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (1990)

No, you hear the "NUXX" 4/4 version. That's not the original.

I know it has nothing to do with this thread, but "Born slippy" has got to be one of the most boring/bland tunes I have ever heard. I don't understand the hype behind it.
CJ Bolland - Sugar Is Sweeter
DJs always played the Armand Van Helden Remix of this track and for good reason too since the original was pretty boring. You can listen to the original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT5n2bCopX4
and the remix can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-...2177764-5383622

A lot of the titles people have listed in this thread really confuse me - I still hear many of them pretty regularly.

I saw this thread and one forgotten choon that stuck in my head was:

I think that I will have to dig out this vinyl.

| "Born Slippy" is a single by Underworld, originally released in 1995 and has never appeared on an album. The track is instrumental and features no lyrics. Despite this, it is often confused with the more popular vocal track, "Born Slippy .NUXX", because of the similar name. However, they are completely different in composition and sound. |
