Gabriel and Dresden at Vanguard on 8.25.07 ??

Anyone going? We've never seen Gabriel and Dresden spin before but enjoy their CD's. Any TA's making it to this? Opinions?

I am going to see them on Thursday night at "Club Vegas" in Costa Mesa though!!

From what I remember (it's been almost 2 years since I've cared to check them out) they played a bunch of their own tracks/remixes/bootlegs and stuff via Ableton. Josh works the mixing and Dave does...uh...well I'm not sure. But if you like their cds and productions you'll like their live stuff. It's basically the same thing.

They were my favorite a while ago, I will definitely be seeing them at Club Vegas. They do tend to stick to their own songs and remixes, which makes them a bit repetitive from show to show.

But, they're still a great time - I'm fired up for this night. Also my first chance to check out the new Giant Thursday.

Yeah, I'll be at Club Vegas next thursday too. Last time I saw them was on the top floor at Tao in Vegas. It was more of a lounge so the music wasn't loud enough so it was hard to hear. Plus the fact that I was pretty wasted .

Looking forward to next Thurs though. Hopefully some of the sound system issues will be resolved by then. My ears were hurting at Markus...

2 weeks from Sat. is Trojan Football!! Our first game of the season and its a home game! Until then, we've got gabriel and dresden to help the time pass! YAY!!! Have fun in SD!

josh usually picks the track and plays with it on ableton while dave works the mixer. recently they've been playing a lot darker and houseier than in the past. no more productions from before 2006 and the poppy g&d stuff usually comes at the end.

DJ with Ableton.

Live PA would require a mixing board and some input from the performers.

I actually saw them a in July in Barcelona. They didn't have the best turn out, but the venue was nice and cool and their set is suburb, especially if you are into the trance/progressive house mix.

I know they were using two laptops.

They'll prob close with their Killer's remix.

Unless I have an event that night...I'm in!

Perfect timing then! Its going to be great. Since it won't be as crowded as it has been lately, we shoud have a quick TA meet up for a drink before we hit the dance floor all night long ;-)

RJ SPINHER is spinning upstairs... and also Nick Dean and uh Stewart Sandeman

We got our tix in the mail a few weeks ago rather than waiting for the guestlist line, so we won't get the wristbands this time to go upstairs to meet :-(
