Rave/EDM parties at home. Pics/Videos?

Looking for inspiration. Seems like there should have been a thread like this already, but after a bunch of searching I couldn't find one. If there is, link me to it instead. It's hard to search for "house" parties when house is a type of music mentioned on this site daily. I used terms like "home" and found nothing.

Just looking for pictures or videos from raves/parties that you have thrown in your own home, rather than in a club/warehouse/forest/etc. And any interesting personal anecdotes for good measure.

I'm throwing one next month, and I have a raised landing on my stairs which goes out into my living/great room and a cathedral ceiling, which lends itself to being used as a DJ booth (albeit, a small one).

Here's the basic idea that I'll be going with (it's just a mockup, obviously it will be much more decorated and have much more lighting, etc., the furniture will not be in the way, and so on.)

Probably have to convert it to RGB. Image > Mode > RBB Color

You should get a little massage booth set up somewhere in the corner of the house. Scented candles, coconut oil, the works. And I know some people don't like it, but it be cool setting up a strobe light next to the decks where you can turn on and off for a few minutes.

I'm going to be ordering some club lighting/fx from AmericanDJ.com. Should be fun. I'm setting aside way more of a budget than anyone should for a house party, but oh well. I also hung some single-color Christmas lights in the kitchen (and accidentally busted one of the bulbs by opening a cabinet into it ).

I set up the speakers today to mess around with them, and there is a dead spot in the bass RIGHT in the middle of the "dance floor". Dammit, I hate that. I'm gonna mess with the speaker placement throughout this week and see if I can fix that. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I never claimed it was... I'm just trying to throw a fun party. The local "names" are going to be playing, so it's not like I'm just doing it so I can be a 15-minute star.

Thanks man... it was a great time. I didn't get an exact count but I suspect there were between 100-150 people there total. Great sound too; one of the DJs brought his big 15" Mackie (I think) monitor which we put at the top of the stairs, and another DJ brought his floor speakers with 4 12"s... it was a hell of a lot of sound for a house party.

It's too bad we don't live closer, I bet we could throw a hell of a party if we put our efforts together.

Yeah, I wish I had videos from that night.

All I have is this video of me testing the laser with my shitty phone camera, which doesn't do it justice at all...
