PVD @ Summer Stage Review (Friday)
Good times......almost like 04 in the rain only rain was harder at times!!! Had to leave early for work but left way too early so I came home to take a power nap. Great to see everybody.
uploading pics now.....
i had a good time, and the rain was something special for sure, the live performances were OK at best..... more review to come later
Briann you bastard I wanted to create this thread
goddamns haha but soo happy u were able to be there with us
In a few words...fuckin unrelentless. Fuckin unreal. (Weather and PVD pounding track after track) The rain started falling during the first track...literally POURED on us even harder than in 2004. Then it stopped and the clouds broke...well a nice tribute to 2004 anyway...then he threw down that track, "New York" and I swear no shit it rained fuckin again just as harddd -- insaneeee!!!!! I swear I was as sober as anything and I could not make this stuff up it was THAT crazy
...Well fucking incredible is all I can say for both the set, the man himself...it was a set just as good as GG 07. What a great nite -- spent it with the ppl I love, a nice lil reunion from 2004 really something extremely special....stomped till the encore ended...
One for the record books. Not to mention that gigantic disco ball held aloft by a crane goddamn that was huuuge and it reflected the lasers off sooo perfectly holy crap
Anyway me drew n joey are trying to make it to LOVE for thrillseekers now...no worries we good
going for part 2
Took a shitload of pics and vids including some in the rain will load them up when I come back down to earth

16 second video playable with videolan player
btw that disco ball was the original one from STUDIO 54!
mike found it in an old warehouse apparently
good partying with you pvdobsession.. funny how i didnt realzie youre a ta until the last hour and a half when we were next to each other most of the tme
i hoenstly enjoyed CP this year alot.. i really liked hte housey edge he brouht to it and the fact he just didnt go and play songs that were "regular" there were a shitlaod of classics which were kinda cool.. (higher state of conciousness) and the rain made it all just go wildddddd except the entire lower 1/4th of me is orange but its all good
i got my cd signed haha now i cant even open the casing
hah yea i just spent the last hour cleaing all my clothes in the shower...
great set by PvD, one of the people with me will post about 90% of the tracklist for today sometime later in the week... see you all tomorrow WITHOUT THE RAIN
man what a night! too bad no one came to say hi. The rain was something else, I was drenched! my shorts turned orange! okey, so here is how my day went for anyone who cares.
I woke up early, took the bus to new york, went to the virgin store, bought my tiket, took the subway to central park and got lost! finally found summer stage to find myself completely wet.
waited for tas, sorry idk what anyone looks like. Unfortunately I didnt meet anyone, AGAIN
. The set was good, not great but good, he started out with some good prog trance but after "Life Less Ordinary" the vibe kinda fell. At some points I thought "DAMN! paul has to be the best dj in the world!" but the consistency just wasn't there, the music was all over the place.
I refused to dance to the anthem! to bad I forgot to make a "PAUL, NO ANTHEM, PLZ" sign, like I was planning. I was surrounded by guidos!
White lies grew in me. I was mad when he played only the beginning of "born slippy nuxx" cuz I wanted to sing. Overall it was a great night, not even close to daft, but a great night. I just wish I had met some of you guys.
oh yeah that's another thing, f*** all u guys that went to daft!!!

Out There and Back
Did anyone get those Yellow Gatorade's? They were not perforated lol! I went back to the stand and told them I couldn't open it. They looked at me like a moron but they couldn't either. And they tried a few other yellow ones and they wouldn't open.

Too bad his good days are over. Damn, memories still come back.

OMGG THE CHAFFING!!! It was a great show. The best aprt was the live singers especially the first singer ( i dont know or care what her name is but she wasss oneee finnnee peice ) There were a few funny moments like when he played the otherside and no1 knew the lyrics other then myself and the guy standing next to me. I ruined a brand new pair of diesel pants but I was smart enough to wear old sneekers! After it rained I was absolutely drenched still a great time.
Jessica from the Pussycat dolls, many live performances, awesome set, full review Monday after i make my return appearance today, still need 2 tix, looks like i maybe out of luck, but what the hell ill go and give it a shot, i had 2 extra tix last nite and i just gave it away, so hopefully the good karma will help

Great time though for sure, rain or not. My phone was fucked up the rest of the night, but it dried itself out in the morning and I think it's fixed now
D
Paul ripped it sikkkk till the live performances, he was amazing, i loved his set. I wasnt into the live acts at all, im not a big fan of those tracks but i can see why others enjoyed it, i left midway through the live acts i just couldnt handle it anymore it was a total buzzkill for me. exception though was 4 an angel live, that was kinda cool. oh and ofcourse the anthem song is an immediate buzzkill as well, i got instantly sober when that track came on.
+1 on the live performances being a fuckin buzzkill.
other than that, loved just about every second... they needed to station some lifeguards up front by that gigantic puddle... god damn
champagne... still unsure of how that word made it into the lyrics
the live performances were alright, ashley tomberlin was the best imo, even though i'm not a huge fan of that track..
How were the bathroom lines? Were they as long as they were last year?
is it me or is it pvd getting worst ever year ? to think of it.. i dont think he is worth $45 bux to see anymore.......... what a crazy night i mean the rain came down sooo fuqqin hard its not funny, I literally had steam coming out of my shoulders, my friend was liek HOLLY SHIT your giving off steam.... what a crazy experience... no more outdoor event with rain for me for a while......total buzz killer and so was the live performance...that totally killed me. "for an angel" was one of my hightlight songs of the night. I shouldve just went to LOVE and spend $10 and had a shit load of fun....... and wouldve stay dry and warm too..... hope everyone had fun,.^^
