John Digweed at Avalon for $40?????

I was on wanttickets and found out the presale for the digweed show at avalon is almost double what it usually is. Anyone have any clue why its so expensive for this show?

basically its what the market will bear - the agents know they'll sell out the venue so they charge a high price which in turn makes the venue raise the price (and probably make a higher profit too).

I'm pretty sure this is a Special Event due to the holiday weekend. Also, I'm pretty sure its not cheap to get DIGWEED for holiday events. There will probably be a limited amount of discount tickets announced when it gets closer.

will not honor after "X" time period...

Ya, Avalon is one of those places that pre-sale really isn't worth it. Too many restrictions.

If it makes you feel better. I paid $60 @ 4 or 5 AM New Years Morning. Didn't give a flying f#$%.

Higher cover sometimes correlates with better crowd. Plus as said before. Digweed prob isn't cheap.

Thanks god Avalon is got some good lineups and it is a disrespectful to Digweed to have Spundae promoting this show!!!!!!

They need to move back to Circus and take their crowd with them or they can start promoting oops sending emails out for the hiphop club across the street

There are multiple reasons Digweed is so expensive. 1st thhey pay him aloty more than other Dj's. Second they always chartge this much for a DJ like Digweed, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, etc. because most of us pay it. I will not pay that much for Diggers seen him around 20 times always good but not worth it for me.

In case you're not aware Spundae was one of the first promoters in the early 90s to bring Digweed out to the states, same goes with a lot of international artists.

Please respond so you can help me keep this topic on the first page too =)

I encourage it and I'm not worried at all, the people who I do know from this board are all bright people who think for themselves and it's safe to assume the ones I don't know are the same way.
