DJs using drugs ON STAGE

well last night i went to go see vicious vic at some teeny bop club, i had to go by myself because nobody else would come with me but i really wanted to see him perform seeing as though i havent been to a club in like 6 months, anywho. i get there and i feel kinda out of place and i know that most of the people there didnt know a thing about trance. i thought vicious vic was a pretty cool guy because i stood watching him mix his entire set and he gave the few of us who did watch him copies of his new cd thats coming out sometime in the near future. so im like, cool, but then the announcer guy comes on the microphone and is like, KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS!??!!?!??!? and everyone was like, 4:20!! yay!! and about 20 minutes later i see none other than vicious vic taking a hit from a pipe ON STAGE. and people even CHEERED, that instantly killed my mood and i was pissed hed do that. YOUR A PROFESSIONAL atleast do it OFF STAGE.. hes encouraging the kiddies to do drugs and i thought that that wasnt cool.

oh well, i had an alright time

I don't think any pot head will ever truly be able to explain why 4/20 is a day to smoke weed. Some people bring up shit about how its hitlers birthday, but what that has to do with weed, I do not know. If you ask me, its just another excuse for them to smoke.

i noticed in the 'weed' thread, that was closed, peeps calling everyone who associates with the drug a lamer, yet we get threads of UKTAs rolling their balls off, acting like idiots and thats good for a laugh and not lame. how does that work exactly?

usre one is telling people to toke, which aint a big problem in my opinion, since its not really worse than cigs...yet some 'party pic' thread is fine, even tho we never see anything ABOUT the actual party...DJs, etc. just a bunch of 'cybers' having a 'good time'. the hypocrisy is pretty rediculous. 420 is one day of the year...who gives a shit if people smoke, especially if orlling is ok by our standards...

yea thats crap man...i hate weed so much but i dont care if other people smoke it, its there business. But i dont think its cool to be associating weed with music and being a dj and stuff. It makes the whole classiness of djing much more tacky and unproffesional.

Taucher is alwayz smoking weed lol. Look at the webster hall cover and you'll see him with a joint in his mouth. Its all good as long as it doesnt affect there performance and they do it consiously IMO.

Getting trashed to the point of not being able to stand up IS something you could get all worked up about but a DJ taking a toke behind the decks ... C'MON !!! It's not a high school dance ... if you want your parties to be squeaky clean, that's where you should go from now on.

Hell that's one of the perks of being a Dj, free booze and sometime *dare I say it* free drugs.

yeah but SOOO many musicians do the same thing. there are shitloads of concerts where the main act whips out some paraphrenalia...i know it is illegal...but its also part of music in general. drugs are everywhere/

Im a weed connersoure(sp?) not a pothead! And I was told that 420 is the police code for marijuana. I was told this so i'm not too sure how true it is. Oh, and I never need an excuse to smoke (just a reason not to) :-)
