paul van dyk is a funny guy!

just saw the "paul van dyk - white lies" videoclip

paul van dyk must be kidding. this isnt real right?

tell me this isnt real... paul van dyk

is this the same man that spun Marco V - Revolt, Rhythm Gangstar - The Crowd Song at Energy 2003, Zurich..? is this the man that mixed Politics of Dancing 1 ?

something's wrong with the world and its not Al Quaida feat. Bin Laden

Didn't you know he was a model aswell? But honestly, I'm pretty fed up with these superstar dj's aswell, there's so much money to be made now, and alot of people are turning to crap, to appeal to the masses.

welcome to five years ago :P

The track is bad, the chick is fugly and PVD looks gay.

lol I just watched the video. I could only sit through about a minute of it, i couldn't stop cringing.

When was the last time he produced something worth listening?

I can't agree with this thread simply because my point of view is different, but I see what you guys are saying. I for one think Jessica Sutta is HOT!

oh that really made the tune much much better!

Seriously - why else would he have her on the track at all? Surely it has nothing to do with her looks, he might think she's genuinely talented.

Seriously.

It was just a response to the "shes fugly" comment. I think white lies is a good POP song, nothing more nothing less. Maybe paul just wanted to go that route, he wanted to try something different and I support and respect that.

ap ap ap. remember that this is the same guy who just a few years ago slagged off commercial dance music. a mans tounge is his biggest enemey. reminds me of a story of the Prophet Muhammed. When one of his companion asked him "apart from God what do you fear most?" and Muhammed pointed at his tounge "this one".

true, nice example. I will stop assuming after this but there are quite some possibilities.

1. he's in debt

2. there is a paul junior comming

3. he feels bad for bashing commercial edm and wants to make it up for it.

4. he's gone mad.

We just buy his stuff, well used to, thats why I try not to judge any artist. I refuse to buy in between though, just not my style.

Production wise.......Autumn, and that was like 2001 and never got a release. Oh and his Zurdo soundtrack, that was quite nice.

Also in this video, im not paying one bit of attention to PvD!!

Posted by kadomony on Aug-19-2007 23:27:

theres a couple mixes of this track that are really nice; the original isn't one of them.

Posted by CrazedOut on Aug-20-2007 00:09:

His album would've been THAT much better with this song NOT on there!

I can only hope now that he doesn't play it at Nocturnal Wonderland.

"Connected (Moto Mix)" IMO or even "Crush" or "Nothing But You"....but besides that I dunno...

Posted by Spirit5 on Aug-20-2007 02:22:

PvD has gone pop.....let's just hope it's just a passing phase and he can also produce some stuff more like on "Out There and Back"...nothing too underground but certaintly not mainstream or "pop".

And saw the video....the song isn't bad as far as a house tune goes, but definitely not "trance". I think if we just not see it as trance, and as dance-pop...I don't think it's bad. Sounds like a lot of vocal-house or dance-pop....almost more like Iio or Kaskade than PvD. And Jessica Sutta is not ugly (far from it)...much prettier than Ashley Tamberlin.........

Posted by varun on Aug-20-2007 03:21:

Tbh, the Berlin Mix is top notch, sounds a lot like his older stuff.
Have heard the other mixes, but not really my thing.

Posted by ClearWater on Aug-20-2007 03:56:

from interviews it is quite clear that paul van dyk thinks this is his greatest work ever... and he truly believes that jessica stutta is a "talent"...

Having seen the video, I can agree halfway with the latter, tho not quite how he sees it... but the song is terrible... and if you've been to his myspace, and listned to all the songs, check out the pics that go with them

Posted by Mr Moss on Aug-20-2007 04:48:

big lol @ this video especially the ending... its such a dance/pop song

Posted by LoveHate on Aug-20-2007 05:15:
