He was a clever chap and decided to ask this awful question in both forums for maximum coverage.

Because, you know, this has never been asked before.

Why can't you guys ever just help someone out. This is the most pessimistic forum I've ever seen. I'm just someone new to producing that needs some help. But thanks anyways for the lack courtesy.

Because this is the most generic post ever in the history of generic posting. You didn't describe what type of sounds you want to make, or even if you're looking for pads, strings, leads, bass, etc.

And on top of that, you apparently didn't do a search. There are loads of these threads.

To top it all off, this is the wrong forum.

Any one of those I could've handled, but that's three strikes against you... our Asshole-Response-Barriers have limited capacity.

It's not the wrong forum. There are mixing programs out there like Torq that incorporate vsts.

Yes it is. He said he wanted to create sounds, not mix.

thread starter probably doesn't know the difference between the two.

...which is why it was awfully convenient of him to post in both forums.

If we're being technical, overlaying a vst during a mix does create new sounds.

Fucking class..ROFL!

prplhayes - just do a search, there are at least two dozen threads on this, and Echosystem has even started a (useful) thread asking TA's what their favourites are. Just look in the production forum.

Mr Mystery, I'd be careful, you're in danger of being called a troll again! ...now where's skip?
