Digital Camera question..

Anyone got any recommendations on a digital camera less than $200 that can record good event videos without having the bass disorted? I know the cybershot is actually really good with this, but is their any others anyone would recommend?

Yeah, right, he can get this for "not under $200":

Maybe if you add another $1200 to that $200. Idiot.

Look if you are going to buy EOS 30D than I strongly advice you to invest in Cannon 'L' series lens. The original lens that comes with it is very bad.

EF 24-105 mm F4 L IS USM is the best multi purpose lens.. just get this camera and this lens and you will never need any other camera for a long time.

Maybe you missed the part where he said he wants to take video. Just a thought. Now lets get this thread moved somewhere else.

Because I can. And to make you look even more dumb, which is hardly necessary.

canons distort the sound.

hp is godawful for recording sound.

i have a Nikon L3 and it takes great sound.
not sure about their other cameras, but i get really nice sound out of the L3, even when i'm close to the monitors.

i recorded these with it:

+1, though the quality of nikons i think will go down soon because they're using some other companys lens. I dont know all the details.

Wow, you're not just stupid, you're blind as well.

End of discussion as far as I'm concerned.

I like how Armin is just dancing behind the decks. Doesn't look like he's touching anything while the track "goes back". Pre-recorded?

I already stopped discussing the matter in previous page, but you just keep repeating same thing again... mirroring other's posts.. even when you know that you missed it too.

Check This out:

Right click and save as... PVD @ Dallas June 2005

I was pretty much about 10 feet away from the front speaker stack the whole time, took this with a Nikon Coolpix 5200 with a 512MB card, video is decent quality, audio is actually really good, only distorted in certain parts where the bass hits the very lowest, check it out if you can tolerate the 62MB download, the clip is H.264 and will play in QuickTime 7.

Peace,
-Ward

p.s. I know it's a huge file, but it's also almost 10 min long - so check it out if you have the bandwidth.

Excellent recommendation. I have this camera and I can tell you I'd save the extra 89$ and get this camera for 289$. It's a really nice camera, and the image stabilization feature is awesome. Takes great pictures, and turns on and ready to shoot a picture really quickly.

for inside the clubs, always have the iso at a higher rate and a quicker shutter speed, flash usually isnt required for lighting shots, but for people i generally have it on........red eye reduction is awesome for all the gurners
