[Electro/House] Steve Angello - Sansation(Anthony Ross remix) FULL 320

well competition is over and i didn't win. ended up losing to some really grimmy new-age electro-clash thing. yeah, thats about the best i could describe it.

Hey Ross,

Over All we liked the track, however we feel that its still kinda lacking in the over all groove. Don't get us wrong we really like it but, its just missing a few more elements. Thing I can think off the top of my head is the claps and those vocal stabs could use a little delay/reverb on them.

Keep up the good work mate

Thanks,

Intro sounded really minimal. I liked the build up at 3 min. Very nice.

I agree with DJ-Igloo that its more on the empty side, but nice work.

It was good for a 3 day job. As it is it would work in a club,if you want car listening might want a few more elements like a stab to feed off the electro bassline.

I really liked it, good commercial and very pro sounding electro. It had heaps of neat little touches in the arrangement and the production was nice and fat. Only thing for me was the vocals, while they sounded great how they were cut up, they left me without a real hook since I couldn't understand for the life of me what they were saying. Maybe that's a part of the original song, I dunno, but if the main vocal hook was actually saying something then this song would be really awesome. Nice work and bad luck for not winning the comp!

you and me both, the vocal sample they supplied was horrid, super fx'd up and very little wiggle room to do much with it.

in the original sample he says ' go craaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzyyyyyy' it covered up too much of the song when using it so i took the 'go cra-' and the 'go-go' section to try and make it more rhythmic.

but you're right, the winner of hte comp used the whole vocal samlpe and maybe that was important to the label.

either way cheers for the comments guys, might go back and try some stuff in a few months
