Kosheen - Catch (ferry corsten remix)

Does anyone else feel the GREAT power of this song? Am i the only one who feels that it's not just another ferry remix, but a grand production mixed to perfection? I don't know why on some of these lists why it isn't on top for threads like "greatest songs of 2002"/"songs that make ur spine tingle"/"Top Ten favorite songs". To me, this will become the newest song into the Trance Anthems list, up there with Rank 1 - Airwave/Red Jerry - Wizards of the sonic/Barber's Adagio for strings, etc etc. well that's my opinion, yours?

Good tune...very good...but not a masterpiece.

great Kosheen tune and great ferry corsten remix but the energy is equal to his remix of ocean lab-clear blue water.

I absolutly love this track!!! I hardly ever just start dancing to a track without being a little buzzed but after hearing this for the 2nd ot 3rd time I was dancing all around the house. I think Ferry did an excellent job remixing it and I love the Vocals. One of my favs this year for sure

i hate hungry

YEh this is a wicked remix shame its not as good as the 'Hiver & Hammer' one

Posted by Great Outdoors on Apr-21-2002 07:51:

Let's put it that way- Corsten did a terrific job in reworking the track, gave it a trancey feel and all, but the vocals in the original Catch wasn't great so it kind of affected the final output. t's a lousy song made good.

top tune!!!!!!!!!!
Ferry remixed it very well!!!!! and i'm so happy about it!!!
despite how good it is i never heard it in a club and it's a shame

Yep i like kosheen stuff, tiestos remix of hungry is pritty good imo, but the cath remixes by way out west, ferry etc are the best so far

As I said before,I was SO disappointed in the Hiver & Hammer remix. The buildup is f*cking BRILLIANT,but then they've used one of the weakest riffs I've EVER heard in trance history. The riff is so simple, miserable and repetitive that it ruins an up til that point AWESOME track. That's why Ferry Corsten saves my day with a typical "uplifting like only Ferry can do"-remix.

Yeah this one is SOOOO wonderful! This is a tune that you could play in a club with all the TA's dancing as well as all the "Just pretend to know shit about music hit-loving punks" (No offense ) will dance to.
The most mind blowing thing is when the bassline gets melodic... Whoa, that blows me off!

I agree.

OMG... Catch (Corsten RMX) was like one of my FAVORITE tunes last year, i was obsessed with it.

The best part by far is the first time she says
"Out of my way i'm coming.... I'm gonna catch you if I can...."
and those SYNTHS back it up...those gorgeous, uplifting synths, that part makes the song....

yeh I agree with that, the ferry corsten mix is def inetly better IMO, I love it to bits, the synths on it jus rule Puts me in a stunning mood

the woman from Kosheen sounds a hell of a lot like the woman in dust.wav, and you have that listed in your sig?

i like Kosheen's vocals.

The original of KOSHEENS stuff are PISH!! , but i seem to like any hardned mixes of their productions.

Posted by P`zazz on Apr-23-2002 00:34:

The Original Kosheen Tracks That Get Played On The Radio Are Crap, I Don't Like Them One Bit, The Remixes Though Rule. As Far As Catch Is Concerned I Like The H&H Remix More Than The Ferry Corsten One, I Just Love It. I've Ordered The Vinyl And I'm Expecting It Any Day Now, It Has Both Mixes And That's Cool.

Edit - The Tiesto Remix Of Hungry Is Nice But Generaly I Think That Track Is Cheese...Are You Hungryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????????????

Posted by drizzt81 on Apr-23-2002 03:55:

i really like the kosheen stuff, the original and some of the remixes..

i am getting this one now

Posted by Stanza on Apr-23-2002 10:20:

I'm listening to this at the moment and I think it's pretty good. So what other mixes are there of this tune?

Posted by G K Murray on Apr-23-2002 10:51:

Satoshi Tomiie Mix of HUNGRY

Posted by Sand Leaper on Apr-23-2002 17:03:

These are the remixes I know of:

Hide U (John Creamer + Stephane K)
Hide U (Original Mix)<-----WICKED drum & bass tune!!!!
Hungry (Tiesto Mix)
Hungry (Satoshi Tomiie Vocal Mix)
Catch (Way Out West Vocal Mix)
Catch (Hiver & Hammer Remix)
Catch (Ferry Corsten Remix)

And then there's the remix me and Pat McGroin are waiting impatiently for:

Catch (Koma & Bones Remix)

I've GOTTA get that one!!!!

Posted by Damo on Apr-25-2002 07:34:

very nice song, i've been listening to it a lot the last few days, i can see the original being cheesey but those particular vocals mixed with corsten's magic make this a sweet tune.

Posted by Gurian on Apr-25-2002 08:23:

I also love this tune. I think that Ferry Corsten is a great remixer
