Sevilla's Antonio Puerta has 2 heart attacks during game

If anybody saw the game with Getafe last night, Puerta collapsed and was seemingly out cold for a bit. they got him back to consciousness and took him inside to the medical rooms, where he apparently had a heart attack.

it's scary, reminds me of when i watched Marc-Vivien Foe collapse.

wow... i hope he gets well and never has another problem like this...

and I was in the ER last week with chest pains and the nurse said, "its not a heart attack, you're too young..." and laughed at me, then I told her how athletes drop dead all the time from heart failure... etc...

its real, and scary...

Yeah, Dragutinović potentially saved his life. So sad for such a young player. I mean, I'm 21, and I lack major endurance when I play soccer, so watching something like this is a little phasing to say the least. I wish Puerta and his family all the best.

it's just come in via marca i think to skysports news that Antonio has died in hospital He was a great young talent and his girlfriend is due to give birth to their first child in 4 weeks. RIP

Very Fucked up! No words at all except my condolences to his family and friends. Being 20 and him being only 22, this is particularly hard as it once again shows how fragile life can be.

so he died? holy chet, he was walking and stuff after the incident on the field... so wierd that a person so young in such good shape can die of a heart attack.

Really quite shocked and upset about the news all day. Just like Spaniard was saying, I'm only 21, and I start playing soccer again in the Fall, so it's scary thinking about something like that happening (especially cause I had heart murmur and minor surgery only a few years back). Must be so sad for his family and fans, will definitely keep them in my prayers in the coming days.

This is very sad news. As a 21 year old, I'm even more shocked.

Another player died today, a zambian player named Chaswe Nsofwa, who played for the israeli team Hapoel Beersheva. Similar kind of incident, died on the way to the hospital after collapsing in a training match. Scary stuff.
