Arrow The Official 2007-2008 Spanish La Liga Thread

I saw the 'Puto Power' thread, and thought that it would just make sense to have a thread dedicated to the whole league and talk about some of the major happenings elsewhere. Obviously, the Puerta incident is overshadowing the results from the weekend, but some surprises include Villareal downing Valencia 3-0, and Barcelona failing to score against Racing Santander (0-0). I'll clean this first post up later on with table updates and whatnot.

I checked the guidelines beforehand and it doesn't say anything negative about starting new threads, so explain this to me please (or post a link that explains it at least).

Thought I'd give this thread a bump since Zaragoza vs. Sevilla is on Saturday. Predictions?

Despite losing their recent games, I think Sevilla will win this one, although it will be hard playing away. I'm thinking 2-1 Sevilla

They lost again! This is absurd! I hope they absolutely destroy Slavia Prague today and get back into the habit of winning.

Edit: That's more like it!

Wowzers! Juande Ramos resigns, and will naturally sign for Tottenham in the coming days, and Goal.com (which is usually full of exciting and extremely unlikely news) is now suggesting that Mourinho will come in at Valencia, as Sanchez Flores takes his place at the helm in Sevilla. Que locura!

Edit: Or they could just appoint the youth team coach until the end of the season instead. But it's nice to dream every once in a while.
