Nice one riny! Personaly i dont know the original version, so i cant tell the difference between that and your rmx! But thing you can make little more expresionable are thoes main and background leads, some of the channels are not balanced - but overall nice chune, i enjoyed listening it! keep up!

Thank mate, i was thinking of adding some pad work to the remix, since the original doesnt have that.. only the (Lasgo remix)..

glad you liked it mate, its hard to satisfy you.

cheers,

Rinster.

Well you did improve from the last track i heard... But lead is weak, bassline is weak, arrangement is bad... FX is fine.....

hi m8

love the original so was interested to check this out.

Crazy intro, thought something had gone wrong with my pc but then the kick came in sounded kinda kool lol. The kick is good, not so sure about the mini riffs, sound a little too jagged and rough for me, but thats me. Likethe lfo'd sound before the break, v kool. Its sounds pretty close to the original at this point actually.

I do like the way it builds up at the break, thought it was just gonna be that thin synth so was getting disappointed then the nice original freeloader fat synth came back in..lovely.

very good, i liked it. The only thing for me was there probably wasnt enough different and outstanding about it to play it instead of the original, neverless a good production which you obviously didnt rush.

Good work mate, keep it up!

All the best

good production mate altho not too different from the original

for all those who havent heard the original i urge you to go listen to the green martian remix (nothing against yours mate as i said good production just very samey to original)

one of the best trance tracks ever to not make it "big" (green martian remix that is)

Wow.

Way To kick it Off

Wow, where to even begin? Wait! I know! How about the obviously different intro? From the beginning of Rinster's remix we hear that this track will have a lot of experimental fun in store. Once the 8bit stutter sounds disappear, we are treated to a delightfully deep subbass and a punchy and delicious kick. The glitch sounds make this track very upbeat and pleasing. The fills that adorn every few bars are very very satisfying. Once we have all the sounds kicking at our heads, we heard the track in it's glory. This track so far shows one of it's strongest points, the production value. All the bass is there, the highs and the mids. The Breakdown of course, judging by the intro, would be just as entertaining. But of course, just as I didn't expect, the track disappoints me towards the end. The build up just didn't feel like it would do much in the clubs. I understand this is a remix, but the main melody felt rather dry. The synth used in my opinion wasn't very pleasing. In my opinion a lot of attention could have been gained from adding some pads to give it a bigger more vast effect. Don't get me wrong, the track itself as a whole is very club oriented, but it's mostly not the elements that are there that bother me, it's the ones that don't make themselves present at all.

In The End

Great clubbing remix, good production, but leaves a lot to be desired.

Score 7.5/10

its been a while since i had such good feedback. thanks for that! the synth i used in the 2nd qlimax i did in purpose to make it just that bit different. i guess your right about those pads. ive been trying to add them but no luck so far.. i definatly want them in it though.

yeah the 8bit intro was kind off to make the listener have a "wtf"
impression of the tune.. and when the bass/kick jump in they will be like wow lol guess ill have to get rid of that to then.

ive been looking for a thread of yours, but there doesnt seem to be one on the first 3 pages. so let me know next time you post a song and ill leave you a nice feedback aswell.

cheers all for the support, really appreciate it!

HOLY SH01t

man you improved LOTS since the last track I heard from you!

I loved the original when it came out!

this remix really is of equal quality with the original

fresh sound, funky fx!

nice hihats, snares in all.. the lead sound is a bit thin.
you could make it a bit more full.. it sounds like a toy trumpet now ..

keep it up!!!

Posted by mtothejizzy on Sep-08-2007 20:59:

Hey man.

I also love this track so was keen to hear your remix.

You have great potential!

The intro isn't so much my thing but the right DJ could probably have fun with it.

You've got some great sounds in the mix and the production is pretty good. Nice and dynamic and punchy.

Maybe a little more work on the structure of the song as a whole but I reckon you've got a great remix under your belt with this track.

Nicely done.

7/10 from me.

Let's hear some more yeah :-)

anybody else?

Posted by ASFSE on Sep-13-2007 01:11:

hey im not a trance guy, but sounds solid although sometimes i get a feeling of lag, rhymically, in some sections...and as someone mentioned before the transition from breakbeat to 4x4 is not powerful enough...

goodluck

Posted by Eldritch on Sep-21-2007 10:18:

Haha, loved the 8-bit intro.
The stereo image of the bassline is very cool.
I felt there should have been a more obvious offbat hihat to add even more drive.
But it's cool, it brings back memories.

Posted by Rinster on Nov-08-2007 11:50:

happy to say its been downloaded 400 times already!!!

Posted by Nik Novo on Nov-08-2007 20:48:

The approach is cool but what the remix is mostly lacking is drive. You should try adding some low and/or mid frequency synth in the semiquaver. Furthermore I'm not too happy with the synths you chose for the melody, to me they sound really odd. I also noticed that the remix is too "dry" for the style it was made in (the additional synths from above should also fix that partly), like you said in some earlier post: try adding those pads they would really fit well.

Production quality itself is very good though

Posted by KilldaDJ on Nov-09-2007 00:20:

very plinky plonky...getting a sense of c64 nostalgia! love it!

keep up the good work!

Posted by B_man on Nov-09-2007 01:47:

I really can't complain too much. The intro made me feel like I was listening to someone poking fun of C64 action, but I suppose to each his own. There are some psy-ish leads that seem to lack power in the right direction. This is a problem that I see with many tracks anymore is that they explode from the intro with a good idea, but then fail to jump back up with more dynamics because of either headroom, or arrangement problems.

You usually have to be very careful when you compose a breakbeat with the same kickdrum.

I think your synths could have had more drive... and they delived that drive closer to the end of the track... HOWEVER... they seemed somewhat dry on the processing. Maybe some more time in the mixer would have gave them that extra sparkle.

I too, am appreciating your production quality.

6.9/10 for me... It's good funky music in a vehicle when you are in a good mood.
