No idea of limits or potential benefits; however, on the down side it can damage your prostate... which will leave your penis "on the down side" perpetually... IMO, this would off-set any potential benefit.

you have to do it just right. its like holding on to a soap, if you loosen your grip it will slip and if you grab too hard it will slip.

Isn't there a method where if you hold it in, you can strengthen the muscle walls of your bladder? I read it in some women's magazine, there was a name for it but I can't remember what it was called.
