Native Instrumens FM7

I've loaded my FM7 into fruityloops using the VSTi wrapper. When I click the keyboard notes I can hear the sounds, but when I draw notes into fruityloops and hit play, I can't hear anything. Can somebody help me out? Thx.

Click on the master tab..look under effect... its there..if its on there should be a red light where it says tempo sync... click it to turn it off

hmmmm.... are u sure everything is configured right...?

tell me all the settings u have in the FM7 and of course, make sure fruitys volume and stuff is up (same goes fo the fm7 an' all!)

Yes, the volume is up. I haven't changed any settings after I loaded it. I tried to turn off the sync but it won't help. So the option are all default.

Do any other vst's work?

Does it work when u play with it as a standalone ( with out fruity that is)?

Posted by FJBR on Apr-22-2002 15:06:

It works just fine as a standalone. I also hear sound when I click the keyboard-buttons after I loaded it in Fruityloops. The problem is that when I draw notes, I don't hear anything.

this is stupid but are u drawing the notes in the right place...? in the Paino roll?

Posted by D_G on Apr-22-2002 16:06:

also, are u pressing PLAY?

Posted by FJBR on Apr-22-2002 16:12:

I load the FM7 into the VST wrapper. I draw some notes in a pattern, and I hit play in fruityloops. No sound.

A lot of people ran into that problem, it's specific to version 3.0 of Fruityloops.

Here's what I think is the solution to that problem for once and for all:

I switched to a later version of Fruityloops (try 3.3 or 3.4). Now not only does my FM7 magically work all of a sudden, but now the Juno X2 works, too! PHAAATTTT!!!!

Important tip: Before you uninstall 3.0, make a copy of the whole Fruityloops folder (you'll probably find it in c:\audio) onto a CD or your D: drive or a new folder of your choice. You'll see why later.
