I find it pretty hard to believe that this is Desyn Masiello. There are too many tracks i can't identify with him. Too much elektro house.

I Like the track starting at 49 minutes though.

The only track I recognized was 'Chris Lake - To the point', but I can remember when it started (I believe around 35 minutes or so).

From GU forum:

@ 10 min: Petter - Some polyphony
@ 36 min: Chris Lake - To the point
@ 42 min: Marcelo Castelli & Ackerman - Spirit dancer

You know it's funny that you mention this, because I D/Led this set yesterday from the Desyn M Tracklist Archive, and it didn't seem very 'his' style to me either. However, Desyn has been known to throw some electro beats in his sets. And since the last set that was recorded from him was from mid last month, he may have gone with a more electro-ish style since.

@20 min Paolo Mojo - JMJ

Amaizing tune around 56min... Anybody???

I better like this "new" Desyn with more elektro beats!!!

ID

Could someone please ID the two tunes after Petter - Some Polyphony.

17 mins and 21 mins. First one is rolling minimal, then it goes a bit more progressive. Seriously cool tunes!!

Track at 21 mins is Paolo Mojo - Jmj.

Now I just want the track before it. Any ideas??!

Well this brings up a funny situation then. If it isn't Desyn, who is it?

from DI.fm:

Connected Live is a brand new radio show hosted by DJ/Producer Sultan and a way to get connected with upfront and quality music.

The two-hour show will be aired the last Monday of every month, and will feature the best and latest in cutting edge electronic music. The first hour will showcase an exclusive Sultan studio/live mix set. The second hour will feature an exclusive special guest mix from A-List DJs and new up and coming talent.

Special guest this week is Desyn Masiello from the UK.

This might be Sultan's hour, but I doubt it. I'm sure this is Desyn, there are a lot of songs I've heard on his recent sets.

Nice dig up woscar. I can agree that it's still Desyn, but damn it's different from his usual 'Stye'. Mixing in this set is still very tight, so it's hard to figure out if it's him or not.

Desyn playing Some Polyphony? i mean there are tracks that desyn plays but the mix doesn't look like him.

Posted by BPEB29 on Sep-02-2007 16:19:

Why can't this be Desyn, I've heard him play this kind of stuff before.

Get over it you cheesey prog lovers. Embrace the techno at the beginning!

Posted by Choobak on Sep-02-2007 17:20:

It's definitely him. Sounds like the kind of set he dropped here a couple months ago. Heard at least half the tracks in this one.

I think he changed his style a bit when he got a mohawk:

Yeah, I agree....it could be either way. If I find out more, I'll let you know

He has played the Valentino Kanzyani remix of Nathan Fake's Outhouse. Some Polyphony is not that farfetched...

He looks weird with a mohawk...

Posted by GregBig on Sep-04-2007 09:51:

This is 100% Desyn, i asked him...
He changed his style, whats so unbeliveable in it?
The tune arund 56min is: Master Dam - Cheeseburger
Cheers!

so now progressive is cheesy hehehe ..no need for that kind of talk man its a matter of taste and this isnt techno so i think u should get ur genres straight at least before calling anything cheese

Don't worry, I like prog. Just hate how shit it can be at times. Just go on beatport and listen to all the monotonous wank in the progressive house genre.

Granted, there isn't much techno in there, but I did say 'at the beginning.' I think Petter - Some Polyphony counts as minimal techno! As does the tune after it, which is AMAZING. I really need someone to ID it.

I've heard Shonky and Timo play it before, now Desyn. Someone must know!

So to you beatport is the authority on classifying EDM genres?
