Lunar eclipse in 40 min

There will be a total eclipse of the Moon, visible from San Francisco, just after midnight on the the night of Monday August 27 - Tuesday August 28.

The eclipse will begin at 12:54 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on the morning of August 28. Totality will be reached at 2:52 a.m. PDT, when the Moon will fully be in the Earth's shadow. Totality ends at 4:22 a.m., and the Moon will exit the Earth's shadow fully at 5:24 a.m., right before sunrise.

well i guess this page was wrong. i just found this on sfgate...

For the wide-awake, a partial eclipse will start at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday and become total starting at 2:52 a.m. By 4:22 a.m., the total phase will be over, but then as the moon begins to emerge from Earth's shadow, another partial phase will begin. The eclipse will end at 5:24 a.m., just as the sky lightens at dawn.

so it starts at 1:51 and peaks at 2:52

Wow, what's funny is Michelle noticed how unusually bright it is outside. The moon is super bright right now. Can't see any eclipse at the moment, but I remember when I was younger I'd always be up/around to see this stuff, so think I am gonna try tonight.

Right when the moon got nice and fully dark about 10 minutes ago saw a bright ass shooting star start from above it and end right near it...was hella cool.

With that, my trip up to Seattle has wiped me out and I'm going to bed.
