New Track Kit Phillips - "TrancFormer" Any Good?

So I just finished a track, and I was after some reviews. I also posted in the promotion forum, but since this is the main forum I hang around in I thought I'd let you guys know as well...

The newer track is the one called "TranceFormer", but I also updated the "Autumn Burn" track as well, its now a bit more interesting at the beginning.

This new track is very different to the last one, but hopefully it will be enjoyed. Its right here; the one called "TranceFormer"

All comments welcome, I would love some opinions on this track. Really I'd just like to know if its any good or not, some people love it, but I'm curious as to some producers opinions.

hey where did you get the vocal harmoney from?

The vocal harmony is from one of my other songs, but I erm... Manipulated it a bit...

its not a BAD song per se... its nice at the beginning and then it just gets really really dull... nothing really happens... this song is way too long for what it is.. you can sum it up nicely in 4 minutes and will sound a lot more interesting than an 8 minute track.

the sounds used are really nice and well placed in the song.

I had Pretty much the same criticism, I posted it over on the music promotion forum. I really like this track, it just needs a bit of retooling. The second half of the song goes off in too many directions, some of those parts are just not needed, and don't compliment the other parts. Maybe take 3 or 4 of the best hooks in the song, and work them into a 5 or 6 minute arrangement. 4 minutes would be too short, this isn't pop music after all, or a radio edit.

Arrangement is always the killer, and I still struggle with that myself. It takes a lot of thought and work to make a track interesting all the way through.

Thanks for your input I may have let the main part go on too long, I'll keep that in mind.
I agree that often less is more in terms of timing, although maybe 4 minutes is a little TOO short
