Can you listen to Techno in the morning?

discuss.

Yes. When i had early morning classes i used to play aggressive livesets loud in the car to keep myself awake. Slower stuff, like deep house, sounded much better for the occasion, but i always thought it made me less alert.

I just love listening to dave the drummer when i go to work. Feels like i'm gonna rip the day to shreds.

I prefer any radio station, because of the occassional news flash and constant commercial breaks that keep your mind focused on other things. If i put a set on, my mind will probably drift away and I will turn into this whole other neurotic person haha. It's

Darude is my favorite techno.

I hate morning radio the most. I hate radio in general but morning radio is like 80% of the time u listen to the DJs ramble about how sucky your life is and that its ok cause these guys will cheer you up with some 80s boy george tune...after these commercial break.

I mean seriously.

and "fun facts".. did you know you swallow 6 spiders during sleep in your entire life lolololol

and radio people interviewing each others about how awesome they are

and the location of traffic jams everywhere (ok useful, but depressing)

i can't stand listening to the radio at all..

I listen to hardcore on my way to work in the morning....techno is normally an afternoon thing and trance is bedtime.

being a radio dj at 7 am must be a tough (dirty) job indeed. And you can't use a mexicant.

Posted by Ian on Aug-29-2007 13:25:

it depends on the kind of techno. Minimal as a rule makes me want to break things because it bores me. Funky & Loop stuff is great, old voorn, umek, liebing, beyer etc. Perfect. I don't see why people can't listen to stuff early though. it's never bothered me in the slightest

Posted by nfekted on Aug-29-2007 13:58:

i can definitely play the old and hard techno sets of yesteryear. It gets me ready for the day!

Posted by david.michael on Aug-29-2007 14:59:

I've listened to hard techno, hard trance, hardcore screaming rock/metal, what-have-you... no problem at all doing this early in the morning.

I can, but I prefer sportscenter or sports talk radio (if I'm driving). It's easier to zone out to.

it's part of breakfast

Posted by nchs09 on Aug-30-2007 04:43:

techno is best in the mornings

Posted by we_R_DNA on Aug-30-2007 04:44:

There is nothing better than having a customized computer alarm clock with techno waking you up in the weee morning with a bassline that vibrates you out of bed.

WAking up to techno music really gets me pumped up for the day. Especially some Marshall Masters - I like it Loud!!!

Posted by nchs09 on Aug-30-2007 04:49:

im thinking more..... techno at 6 or 9 in the morning :P

at a club... say panoramabar

Posted by BTG on Aug-30-2007 04:57:

OBI is really great for an alarm.

Posted by nfekted on Aug-30-2007 05:10:

my alarm = Pendulum - Another Planet

Posted by Lomeli on Aug-30-2007 06:34:

I'll be listening to some deep techno in the morning.
