Is being 27 too old to graduate ?
So yeah looks like I am heading back to more school.
I have a bachelors degree in geography LOL.
I also have a college diploma as an HVAC tech.
But not to long ago it hit me that I would love to work for the government. Problem is I am now 24. I am getting into a bussiness admin. program with focus on finance and human resources. I will be 27 when I am done. Is that too old ?

it's never too old to go back to school. if that is what you really want then why care so much? it's not like you're going to be 60 and stand out amongst your classmates if that is your biggest concern.
Its not that my biggest concern is how the employers will look at hiring a 27 year old. That is it. I went to school with 30 and 40 year olds.
of course not man! I am 28 and going back to school to complete my buisness bachelor and worse, part time!! Maybe ending it in 10 years hehehehe

ummm not even close. When I was in grad school 30% of the people there were 40+.
actually 27 was about the average age for my graduating class. Some were as old as 34, 35, 36....i believe the oldest was 38!
Hi... I have a similar problem - I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psych. and a TESOL Certificate and I would like to go back to college for some practical program (preferably with co-op), cause I find that it's hard to find employment outside of my fields of study, even when I look for simple things such as administrative and office positions... it seems that employers prefer someone who just has a Bussines Administration diploma or lots of years of experience in the field to someone who like m... and I feel kinda shy right now to pursue a career in my field, which is ESL Teaching. So I was wanting to go back to school either for some counselling, or (if I was lucky enough) to do a Master's Degree in Psychology later, or to even go for some other, completely different thing like Seneca College's post-graduate program in Technical Writing... but the problem is, I don't have the money right now 
I think you don't need to feel shy about being a student, I had classmates in m TESOL program in university who were in their sixties! And the question of how employers will look at you... I guess if you know how to market yourself well, they won't take it as a disadvantage. You can simply state in an interview that you wanted to get more practical experience as a reason for why you went back to school.

27 is not old! There are a few 35+ yr old in my undergrad program, while the youngest was 17 during first yr.
You're never too old. Do it. Good luck.

Definitely too old. There's a "minimum age" requirement for graduation and you have to be 25 or under. If you attempt to graduate at 26 you get fined $1000.

Repeating what others have said: learn for as long as you can (a lifetime if possible).
Honestly - I can't see myself not participating in organized (structured) learning (no matter how old I get).
The rewards for structured learning are just too great for me to consider giving it up. Certificates, additional degrees, post-grad programs are all so worth it (and not necessarily for a career, just for personal growth, keeping the mind sharp and gaining new insight on the world.
Trust me: Structured learning becomes even more fun when you don't need it to get a job or start a career. When it becomes something you do for the pure enjoyment it takes on a whole new level.
The mind is like a sponge - if you keep saturating it with information it keeps sucking it up. When you stop feeding it - it hardens and contracts.
