Superliga 2007 Galaxy lose 4-3 on penalties

I watched the entire match last night

It was an excellent football match in which the LA Galaxy who were trailing at halftime 1-0 to Mexican champions Pachuca, came back from the ashes in the dying seconds of the game to equalize.

When the penalty round started, i really believed that LA was going to win the title without the service of David Beckham (who re-injured his ankle earlier). Turns out though, goalkeeping won out and Xavier became the goat.

Any thoughts???

agreed

but it looked like Beckham was a little QUICK to call for a sub... like "its going to his head" - Get me off the field, I'm too valuable to force more of an injury...

strikes me as very Shaq-esque...

exactly.

what pisses me off is that suddenly mls got this extra coverage because of beckham which i think is rediculous cause hes probably the most overrated player in this history of football.

Lighten up, there's been like TWO beckham posts in the last 3 months... MLS isn't getting extra coverage, they're SIMPLY whoring MLS/Beckham, you can't blame anyone but Alexi Lalas and the Galaxy... its not anyone else's fault... its costing them money to be AD-whores, so who really cares?

I don't...

Anyone with a slight knowledge of futbol in this continent will tell you the high level Pachuca is playing at right know. They have a solid squad so it was only natural that Galaxy struggled throughout the match. Pachuca had some clear chances at goal and they didnt capitalize.

About Becks, well, who cares. About Galaxy, you have to give them credit for playing their hearts out in a mickey mouse tournament that is not that important and will never be.

Maybe, but the Depot Center had a decent crowd at least.
