I fucking hate how football players are revered in Australian society, when in reality they are a pack of bogan meat-heads. What I hate even more is how if you open the sport section in the morning there is 10 pages on some stupid footballer breaking a toe, then and 50 word article on the tour de france, or some other great sport being totally ignored.

We just had a chat about drugs over a communal lunch here at work, and out of the eight people there, only one of my colleagues had tried anything past gunge (LSD and MDMA 3 times each).

I just sat there pretending I'm completely ignorant of what it feels like, how much it costs, the effect on your body etc.

go to any country and the papers are like that though, just substitute for the popular local sport. Whats popular gets the most attention, why the surprise?
