Exclamation Which Mixer is the Best???

This thread may have already been done to death ... but Im looking to buy a new mixer, and need some help!! Basically, I can't decide between the DJM 800, DJM 600, and XONE 92. They're all different from eachother, I know that, but i just want the one which has the best sound quality, and the smoothest faders. Effects are nice, but not necessary. Right now Im leaning towards the XONE 92. I spin on vinyl, not CD.
Any suggestions would be helpful

Im in the same position as you are, i cannot decide between xone92 and djm 800, but as i read around the forums looks like the 800 is the one...

well i haven't really used any of them much, but from what i've read around here the 600 is an older technology. the 800 is newer and improved when it comes to the sound quality and all that (but more quite a bit more $). i wouldn't know what to say when comparing the xone to the 800 though. good luck

Check out the DJM 700 thread right under this one.

I was thinking of getting the DJM 800, but then i came across some forum i found on google, and some people complained about the "harsh" Pioneer sound. What did they mean by harsh?? Is it too loud?? However, with the TA forums I found out that the XONE 92 is pretty popular ... its a tough decision.

there is pretty much zero point in getting a DJM-600 when you can get an 800. So you can cross that one off your list immediately.

like i said in the other thread i am an beginner, but i believe that djm 800 is top notch mixer

if you've got the cash i'd say the 92. once you learn how they work they're beautiful to mix with. EQs so smooth. but im not an expert. theyre also becoming the standard in clubs.

Price is not the problem, since the 800 is MORE expensive.

You guys have to try the mixers first.

But I say you wanna learn the basic of sounds and mixing, get the Xone. You'll learn how a waveform works while using the Filters and you'll learn how to mix on a studio like mixer.

Harder but better.

i have one since feb, good mixer, i prefer to mix on it than on pioneer ones.
big buttons, long fader.
used it many times to mix in club, sounds like first day i got it.
Only tried xone92 once in a shop, but if i have the money, i'll go for the xone, i dont like pioneer finition.

Hey that's my video

I don't have the Xone 92 anymore. Grr. I sold it, bought a Xone 3D... didn't care for the 3D, now I got the Rane because I couldn't justify buying ANOTHER 92 after just selling one. Otherwise I'd still have that mixer Though the Rane is badass too.

Between the 800 and the 92? 92. Particularly since you play vinyl. The pre-amps of the Xone 92 are very, very nice sounding.

The DJM-800 doesn't even have a phono input on channel 1.

Is it true that the XONE92 isn't made in England any more, I heard that it's Made in China?? I hope this isn't true.

That is true, but there have been no indications that the quality has suffered.

I have a DJM800 and it is awesome. But go get the DJM700 instead.

I've heard some pretty arguments for both mixers, and it appears that its 50/50, I think that whichever I get, it will be a good choice. When is the 700 supposed to come out in Canada??

end of discussion.

Internets. You can bet ya bottom dollar many of em will never have used either mixer Honestly m8 like the others say it is best to go to your nearest outlet & get them to set each mixer up for you to have a play with before splashing your cash

I heard really good things about A&H but I couldn't find anywhere with one connected up on display so I ended up sticking with Pioneer. Still would love to have a play with an A&H unit.

From what I've read the DJM700 costs very little less than DJM800 so as far as Pio is concerened might as well get the DJM800 for the extras. Just to add a little more fuel to the fire, have you seen the thread on the Korg Zero4? Thats a sweet looking beastie

If you're not interested in effects then the Xone is the way to go. The DJM-800's main selling points are the effects and the midi compatibility in my mind...if you're not interested in those then go with the Xone. Sound quality is great on both, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
