Wink Trance Control releases new track EACH week! Try to beat that :)

News on http://www.mp3.com/tc :

"//MISSION 2002//
As of March 20, 2002 our goal became to release one new track EACH week! This means 52 new songs online per year if we're successfull. To us an acceptable rate would be one new track every 2'nd week but we figured it's better to aim high. "

Should they spend more time on their tracks too? I was wondering if this is true... I dunno if the release rate automatically means that tracks are bad or not thought over.

Let me hear your thoughts on this 'mission'
Take care!

I dont think anyone should put a time limit on how fast they have to produce tracks. They should just take as much time is neccessary to make a solid track. But, if they do devote most of their time to making these songs, and they sound good in the end, then go ahead!!

Heh, I don't think it's a good idea to have a fixed rate for when tunes should be finished. I don't like time pressure when producing. An example is the remix contest. I don't know if it would turn out any better, but I would like to spend some more time on the tune But this is my opinion against Trance Controls so I'm destined to lose

Peace

yeah you're right there my friend... it's hard to tell how many time an artist is spending on his tracks 'behind the scene'. but i've had some comments about this like i wasn't spending enough time on my own tracks... and then i thought to myself, how could they possibly know that?? they don't live beside me ... kinda strange. talking about how long you can spend on a track, can make it quite dangerous if it's really average afterwards.

well, it's hard to tell really... and it's hard to put a time limit to yourself on making tracks, even for trance control i'm afraid there's gonna be some seriously average tracks between them. i mean only one week/track? that's really few.
but when they do make them all just right, they certainly deserve a spot in the guiness book

i don't think you're necessarily meant to lose there my friend
everyone has average tracks in their collection, and like dj chrono said "I dont think anyone should put a time limit on how fast they have to produce tracks. They should just take as much time is neccessary to make a solid track. "

Yet again.......

Trance Controls tracks are quite simple, they use the old retro formular from good ol 95.... And they still have that strange hard mental atmosphere that makes it TC. I loev their oldskool sound, so lets see what happens......but as chrono, never force a track to be finish.....always let it decide how much time it takes. You should never rush tracks, thats what ive learned so far .

i just had a listen to the recent ones released by them and the only one that said something to me was 'restricted area'... although the structure was kinda simple on that one, it still had a nice main lead

'epicentre', 'hyperacusis' and 'intelligent' are lacking too much melody in my opinion...
