Anyone Know about Munich, Germany Club: KRAFTSWERK??
Im from New York but I'll be in Munich on June 1st for Paul van Dyk at a club called KW...i need to know if I need advanced ticks for this event!! Also, what is there to see in Munich, etc...thanks for the help..
sorry im not from that area, but most time it is better to order the tickets in advance...
Munich:
The 'Deutsche Museum', which is basically a huge science museum. If you are into science, it is the place to go, but i have never had the chance to get in, yet. I heard it takes ~2 days to 'walk' all the way through it looking at all exhibits.
If you are into German drinking culture, you might want to go to the 'Hofbruhaus' which is a beer-garden/ brewery that is quite famous in germany -afaik. But i heard it was way overpriced and that you can get better beer elsewhere in munich.
If you are not vegetarian and are not scared of not knowing exactly what you eat, go eat 'Weisswrste'. They are white 'sausages' serves with sweet mustard and usually pretzels. Iv love them.
Generally, Munich has a lot of nice buildings, just walking around some of the places, you will find really nice architecture from the later 19th/ early 20th century. There used to be an exhibition on German currencies, but i am not sure if that was temporary or permanent.
Furthermore I think there is some Palace somewhere in the center that is worth visiting, but i am not sure anymore..
Should I come for PvD (~80% sure that i will) I might be able to help you get around, if you wanted me to. Especially if I am there with the train, I cannot take a ride home till the afternoon anyhow, so I'd have some time to waste/ spend in munich..
let me know if you are interested.
hey Drizzt01,
That would be cool if you wanna hang out, I still havent booked a hotel yet. I emailed the KW website but they havent replied, i have a feeling they never will..anyhow, I'll find out through PVD's website if i need advanced ticks....you cant miss this one!
yeah i gotta find out if they have a dress code or not.. It would really suck if they had, but i heard that many clubs in munich are very 'upper class' so they might..
i crY
yeah, would suck if i could not wear my awesome Hawaiian shirt
i bet Paul woudl recognize me.. with the lights, and the shirt he'd be like..

| Originally posted by VisionsofPVD Hey Proximus, I emailed Janos as well as KW. There is NO dress code, and van Dyk will be spinning from 1am-6am...hopefully a little more..I think the price is 20 US dollars...all I know, I'll be there...and from some pics Ive seen of the place, the dj booth is placed in a way where you really get an intimate feel between the dj and the crowd... |
I found out it's an 8-hour drive and I won't find any of my friends willing to drive that
NO dress code.. kick a$$ .. red shirt here I come..
secondly:
Proxymus, I might be able to offer you a ride to/ from Frankfrut Germany, if you would be interested. It is a 4 hr drive from there. let me know, i could prolly spot you a bed as well, if my mom is ok with that (yes, in Germany i still live with my parents.. but i am barely ever around
)
argh.
I want to go...
I used to be resident at KW Club in Munich.
Havent been at KW for ~ 9 months tho. But I know there is no dresscode & the club itself is situated in an old factory building (thats why Heizkraftwerk = heating-powerplant). So quite a nice atmosphere for a party.
Its not as big as dutch-dimensions 4000 people-Heineken hall, just around 1000 people or so I guess, therefore the atmosphere is really familiar & friendly.
If you all come Ill also be there !
