Jody Wisternoff

Jody Wisternoff's track selection and music is growing on me...i love what he spins...ive been listening to his two recent sets, namely Global DJ Broadcast Guest Mix (2007-07-26) and Jody Wisternoff-Way Out There on Proton Radio (17-072007) and i simply love it...can you suggest any other djs with similar style and tracks and feel in their music?

i read on one these threads that mesiello comes close...any other djs?

suggestions would be appreciated

I really like his 8/21/2007 Way Out There set. The track selection has a hint of 70's underground disco vibe to it. I don't know and I can't really pin it down, but that's what it feels like and I like it!

01) Underworld - Crocodile
02) Jody Wisternoff - Starstrings [In Charge]
03) Diogens Club - Jaunt (Harry Peat Remix) [Urbantorque]
04) Roisin Murphy - Let Me Know (Andy Cato Vetro Mix)
05) Andy Cato - Cosmic Force [Pack Up And Dance]
06) Dilemn - Check My Beat
07) Bart Van Wissen - Concentrate
08) Hard Fi - Suburban Knights (Angello & Ingrosso Remix)
09) Le Noir - Eleny
10) Felix Da Housecat - Like Something 4 Porno (Kris Menace Remix)

You can get the set here.

This November 2006 edition is my top from Jody so far - such a great sound.

^ very quality indeed

I've said it on here before. Jody should be picked to do a Balance album. His style would fit in there perfectly.

*Notices the Aussie flag*

Balance is a series of compilations released by an Australian label called EQ/Stomp. The series so far has featured mixes by DJs like Anthony Pappa, James Holden (his mix, Balance 005 is pure fucking bliss!), Desyn Masiello, Jimmy van M, Luke Fair and most recently Lee Burridge.

Along with the Fabric series, currently the best mix CD series.

The new one is out from September 18, 2007:

01 Tracey Thorn - Grand Canyon (Ada 1st Dub) [Virgin]
02 Marc Romboy And Gui Boratto - Eurasia [Systematic]
03 Paul Keeley - Sunset Boulevard [Eq Grey]
04 Tom Middleton - Shinkansen (La Edit) [Big Chill]
05 Speculum - Manipulator [Ufo]
06 Dilemn - Phyzicall [Cyberfunk]
07 Jody Wisternoff - Starstrings (Helmetkraft Remix) [White Label]
08 Dousk - Port 60 [White Label]
09 Steve Angello And Sebastian Ingrosso - Umbrella [Happy Music 70]
10 Joonas Hahmo - Togheter [Anjuna Deep]

Quite different from August's and still managing to procure the freshness (and to the last poster, I think you'll find the programming to have a better building momentum than August's).

It'll be available at Hybridized on Oct. 2nd.
