The freaky thing about it was that I was reading an article about earthquakes AS IT HAPPENED!

What city? Only my OC friends felt it so far. Not sure if LA people would've felt this one. It lasted maybe 2 seconds here. But the shaking was very noticeable.

Thanks for that website, it's pretty cool.

First thing I did was search google news for any info, and after I didnt, I came here to TA :P

that is kinda freaky

I woke up to the earthquake and I'm in Alhambra (southwest of Pasadena). It didn't feel as bad as the last one we had a few weeks ago though.

These damn quakes are starting to freak me out

I was in bed and thought my dog was moving around.

Haven't felt any earthquakes in years!

Posted by AgentS2 on Sep-03-2007 01:31:

I usually sleep through them but I felt this one, i heard a strange bump noise before it happened too, it was quite a short jolt.

I remember before I moved here everyone was like "Aren't you scared of the earthquakes???" now that I've been here 10 years I guess there could be a lot worse things to be scared of..

though i do hear stories of the 'big ones'..

Posted by skell on Sep-03-2007 15:32:

Another sizable jolt! Stronger than yesteday morning. WTF!

Posted by skell on Sep-03-2007 15:34:

LOL, just had a 3.2 right by my house. No wonder why it woke me up -_-

I doubt it's an aftershock from yesterday, this one was MUCH closer. I'm sure some OC people felt that one. It was a rude shaker.

Posted by elektrikal on Sep-03-2007 15:41:

yea i just felt it... not as strong as yesterdays though

Posted by skell on Sep-03-2007 15:45:

Was for me. The shaking lasted longer too. I just plugged in the coordinates and the epicenter is near Chino, about 5 or so miles away from me here in Fullerton. Can't believe a 3.2 woke me up. Maybe because this quake happened closer to the surface...and down the street.

I'm not a seismologist, but I am 95% sure that this is a separate quake from the 4.7 yesterday. We have ourselves a little active region again

Posted by elektrikal on Sep-03-2007 16:32:

yikes. well i was reading in a magazine that the san andreas is going to start picking up in activity over the next few years, so maybe thats whats movin? no mention of a 'big one' though but i suppose we all gota prepare.
