Bring the COR to your desktop

Here's how.

Write this code in notepad and save as background.html

Now, right click on the desktop : Properties ---> Desktop ---> Browse and go to the folder where you have saved this file (background.html) Select and apply !

when i 2x clicked on the background.html file itself, it happened. and it opened it w/ IE too. blah

edit, so it worked - and no w/ popups....but still uses IE and, really, i was hoping was going to open up the links on the desktop - not a new browser. oh well, neat idea tho

But you fail to grasp the full potential of this method.

Simply link the background file to a photobucket gif or a cool flash webpage and you have an awesome animated desktop !!

you think they bypass filters?

Posted by Omega_M on Sep-03-2007 00:17:

Use this website : http://www.flashearth.com/ Fucking awesome.

IDK about the filters. I'm assuming it's safe. Any technie wants to answer this question ?

Posted by _Nut_ on Sep-03-2007 00:26:

what filters?

Posted by Omega_M on Sep-03-2007 00:28:

spam and such. how about viruses ?

Posted by _Nut_ on Sep-03-2007 00:31:

All it that does is replace your desktop background with an IE web browser window. I would think that your filters should still stop everything. It is just dumping all of the images and such in the normal cache for IE. Only difference between having an actual window open vs the desktop thing is just that. No window.

welcome to windows 95.
anyways, i like my picture as my desktop. i don't want the c0r to be my desktop.

Posted by Omega_M on Sep-03-2007 01:07:

pssh..w/e Besides, I really liked the concept of an animated desktop. you can do cool things with it. I always wanted to know how to put a gif image or flash object as a wallpaper. Know any other method ?

doesn't seem to work with vista. i don't think vista will allow you to select anything other than a picture for a desktop. anyone know how to get this to work in vista?

You uninstall that piece of shit and reinstall XP.
