I've been sending you signals [September] [Druggy Techno]
well hello there, it's been a couple of months but I've finally had the time to put a mix together. I've not been clubbing since sonar so I've been a bit out of the loop so this is a set of stuff I'd want to be hearing right about now. Possibly some controversy towards the end, but if you don't like it you can fuck off
I'd like to think the way I've used the tracks has added something to each of them, there's a hell of a lot of bootlegging going down in this, so enjoy it as much as I did making it.
Julien Chaptel - Nicotine
this is a first rate opener and great to bootleg with
Hearthrob - Baby Kate (Sascha Funke remix)
my favourite of the baby kate remixes, the joy of repitition really is with Sascha Funke, great remix of an already great track
Kerri Chandler - Bar a Thym (Peace Division remix)
sheer class from peace division, one of the recent big 5 from them, detroit as fuck
Raudive - Non
the bassline is just too cool. Repetitive + wonky as fuck, and the vocal fucks with your mind. This is what techno is all about
Alex Under - Extrapelzo
Typical Alex Under, was so gutted I missed out at seeing him in Barcelona when I was there, percussion on this is first class and goes so well with non
Daso - Thujon
I've always been of the opinion that fog horns are criminally underused in dance music. Thankfully thats not the case here. Surreal, but very very very good
Seth Troxler - Crosson Likes Poo (Lee likes it too remix)
It's got a very silly name and it's a good record, what more can you want?
Lets Go Outside - I'll Lick Your Spine (Repeat Repeat remix)
sex in a record
Arwid - Fiasko
goes really well with lick your spine, and stocktown, it was an easy choice
Joel Mull + Vincenzo - Stocktown
better than the end has begun in my book, absolute monster
Claude VonStroke - The Whistler
so so so so so so much fun to mix with. looked through my previous mixes and realised I'd not played it before. Madness, one of my favourite records from last year. "uh"
Abe Duque - Consult
Abe Duque record. Nothing more needs to be said
Tiefschwarz - Ghostrack (Radioslave remix)
The classic Ghostrack gets the Matt Edwards treatment, and I'm very very happy about that.
U&K - Afterbefore
surreal as fuck, and very much different from previous U&K stuff I've heard, which is good
Georgos Gatzigristos - Boggling About The Future (3 Channels remix)
The usual 3 channels class with some really wonky hi end sounds, 4am and fucked.
Audio Werner - Still Jackin
decided to dig this one out. the title says it all
Magda - 48 Hour Crack In Your Bass
I've got a hard on for magda. bwooooooooooooooomp
Adam Beyer - Just a Thought
Ridiculously good from beyer, awesome bassline and the sweeping pad is fucking gold. The pitch bends helps
Ambivalent - R u Ok? (Paco Osuna remix)
this tune is like marmite. I don't care if you don't like it, I like Marmite, and I like this. This is the best version of R U Ok? in my book. We've all been there, and if you haven't it's probably why you don't get it.
Matthew Dear - Don and Sherri
The pick of Asa breed for me, everything is just right, can't wait for the full release + remixes
enjoy

looks gold mate.
Will let you know.
wow, nice tl and descriptions.. i download this bc i know you love your tracks.
On it like a fringe on an Emo kid.
On it like RJT on 240$ worth of pudding...
Perfect so far, actualy considering going out now due to listening to this!
I like seeing sets with a few older classics in it. Grabbing now even though a remix of the song Satan made is in it.
edit: On it like a Catholic Priest on wotyzoid.
The "I'll Lick Your Spine" track really is pure filth.
The mix is great as usual. Lot's of energy, loads of new things happening all the time. Was a very nice soundtrack for walking through the city centre on the way to meet friends.
thanks a lot

there's a sample of a track I'm working on there if anyones interested as well
I could swear you edited Samim - Heater out of your tracklist, and i can hear it in the set
Who gives a fuck, it's lame and already being played by all the top 40 idiots, but it's a fun track. Couple of other banging tracks in this set too, evil basslines and pads ftw.

Hands down your best effort to date, and that's saying quite a bit. I'll echo the sentiments of others and say that the combination of tracks you used and the general flow of the set is as good if not better than anything I've heard from the "big guys" lately. The section from Chandler through Daso was outstanding. Just some skull-fucking-techno-music, I love it. I could provide one predictable complaint, but I don't care to play "Captain Obvious" today
Great work on this one Az - I usually give your sets a few listens, enjoy them, but then inevitably forget about them as I do 99% of all sets I listen to. This one, however, will definitely be added to the pile of "keepers."

im in this fo sho
As usual looks shit, and as usual will listen and enjoy.
I liked everything except the mix out of thujon, for some reason.
Just downloaded this and will listen to on the way home from work
good shit asbrey.

Yeah...something just didnt sound right in that one.
Heater at the end worked too good, you little bastard.

| Originally posted by Az I know what you mean, when I was doing it did sounded good though, honest, but I was fucking twatting it out, and it hasn't translated well down at a low volume, like I said I had to try and tone it down a little bit otherwise I would have been left with nowhere else to go |
i've been listening to this on my way to work a lot lately
i don't think i could have got ambivalent and heater to fit better if i tried
