chris lake?
how was it, where is the review?
i had fun, that's all i can remember (my head was still spinning a little on the drive to labour of love haha)... i just know that the place was packed and going nuts when he played changes... and people didnt really start to clear out until 3:30, which is way longer than sizzle usually does. i didn't expect it to be so many hamilton people though, i thought it would mostly be TO people driving down here
I was expecting this to be an amazing night, but I was disappointed.
Chris threw down an amazing set. The sound was a little off..way toooooooo hot in there...it was worse than zone and the crowd was just plain weird. I left ater 1.5 hours...didn't catch all of his set but I can only imagine he got even better! Nice guy and extremely tall!
I really wanted to make this one!
Too bad I live in TO and don't drive, but I guess it wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be.
I enjoyed the dirty techy house that Chris Lake was throwing down, but I was way too tired and falling asleep. It was indeed packed in there and very hot inside.
Armand van Helden - I want Your Soul (Dusty Kid vocal mix) TUUUUUUNE!
i thought his set was very good. even better then his essential mix. but like everyone else has said, it was way too hot in there. i've never seen so many people hanging out outside at o lounge before.
did anyone get my 'cat of glory' from him? mark?

I enjoyed Chris's set. It had me moving despite the excessive heat/crowding. I left after he was done.
The crowd was different. I can't put my finger on it. I heard guys in the bathroom saying the randomest things.
Guys were having a conversation while pissing....then I asked some guy if he was waiting in line for the urinal and he said
"I'm just here for the conversation"
I thought he was kidding, but he was still there chatting it up with other guys taking a piss later that night.
Another dude was professing his love of "dirty dirty dirty house" as he put it. "If its dirty or nothing" as he put it.
Many other folks seemed to spend less time enjoying the music and more time posturing.
There were many people there that were totally enjoying themselves.
Owen was awesome, hyping up the crowd etc.
My friend Katt caught Chris after his set and asked him when he was coming back (we missed the first hour of his set) and he said
"More importantly, will the venue have air conditioning"
LOL I thought that was so funny, anyone who was there would agree.
*edit* I saw hundreds of flashes go off that night...still haven't found any pictures posted anywhere yet

Chris played awesome as most people said. I drove to Montreal the next day, and I enjoyed his set much more at The O in Hamilton.
yes...the heat was unbearable, and contributing to alot of people lingering outside. The A/C did break during the week leading upto the event, and we had it serviced. Apparently they didn't do their job properly.
