The ATL Scene (new website I made)
I totally ripped off the color scheme from another site but that's ok
here's a preview of my contribution to the Atlanta scene
http://atlscene.servemp3.com
I still need a decent banner (just threw the current one together literally to just fill up the space) and to finish the "music" section with more dj's etc, but check it out and let me know what you think.
The ftp will be out up soon so DJ's can upload mixes, if you an Atlanta dj then soon as the ftp is up you are welcome to upload your own mixes and if they're good then you'll have your own page under "music"
Please post comments
Cool! I'll upload a demo when the FTP is working...
Dude, i love this quote from your site:

You might want to consider separating the pages into frames. Right now, when you use the media player on the site, the music stops every time you go to a new page. If you make the menus their own frames that should solve the problem. You can do that and maintain the same layout by doing something like...

What the F does your banner say?! Horrible design if you want your users to still have their eye site.
//It needs to be pink

Originally posted by Dj Dizzy i noticed that too but couldn't figure out a good workaround. right now i'm using server side includes, i thought of using frames but am not sure how to link them so the table in the middle loads when someone clicks a link.

Originally posted by DJChrisB To do that, you split it into frames and assign each frame a name/ID (i.e., "Top", "Left", "Main", etc.). Then, each link just needs to have a target specified to tell the browser which frame to load the page in.

I used to be somewhat HTML savvy, if I can find any of my old pages, perhaps I can steal the layout. The Frames and tables worked out pretty well... but it's simple basic stuff, no flash etc

Originally posted by Dj Dizzy well i gave it a quick shot http://atlscene.servemp3.com/template.htm i played around with it for awhile trying relative size vs set pixels vs not allowing it to resize, etc and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. also in firefox it doesn't show the border of the frames but in IE it does for some reason even though i set it to not show frames. oh well it was worth a shot, i think the problem is just that i have no experience using frames
