Making a mix cd
I have made my 1st mix cd to give to a few promoters. Although the beatmatching is spot on i think the is a slight volume/ eq problem with it.
Its is mainly trance and tech/trance I play. Any advice to where the eq's and volumes should be when just doing the simple mix frm 1 track to the other to make it sound better.
You views would be much appreciated.

I have a djm-500 so i have that control. Its more to do with where the eq's should be set when bringing a track in and fading next track out.
Whats your preffered method?

There is no standard way of setting up your eq's and levels for all mixes. Each mix will require different eq and level settings depending on the tunes and type of mix you're going for.
TBH mate, if you're asking this question, then you are not ready to be sending out promo CD's just yet
If you have any audio editing software you could try changing the levels after you've recorded the mix
Can we hear an example of one of your mixes? I can help out if I hear what is going on sound-wise.
