We'll see who's the NFL king come the end of the regular season. If nobody's interested, I will delete this thread after Week 1. No prizes except for bragging rights among us fellow TAs. I do believe I'm defending champ from 2005 Here we go!!

They just haven't played well against a top offense in a long time. Granted, Mike Brown is the key to their run defense, but nevertheless.

Since '04, they're 16-4 when he plays, 13-15 when he doesn't. Most overlooked player on that team, but if you watch them play each week, it's like night & day. They just can't stop the run at ALL when he's out, and he didn't play for the whole 2nd half last year (which is why everybody ran all over them), so I haven't seen their real defense in a while.

[for the record, I looked up the w/l after I started making the point...not the other way around, stat nazis ]

I don't remember anyone ever having a perfect week. I think the best score put up was 14-2 or 13-3.

Posted by Thierry on Sep-11-2007 14:45:

Not bad first week for me. Stupid Eric Green of the Cards made me 11-4 instead of 12-3 with that retarded attempt at a fumble recovery. FALL ON THE BALL!!! My Pats looked extremely sharp so I'm happy about that. Here comes the best game of the year with Chargers/Pats! WOO! Here we go again!
