good for u man )) u dont need to worry about them to much,, ive taken mine all over australia and overseas and they still work fine.. look thrashed as but the pitch is still good and arms are fine...

u just got to set the arm height right so u dont dig out ur records and ur needles dont fly off when u scratch.. check on line for that as i dont have my decks out at the moment..

or just post in the dj section

enjoy your mixing )

yeah thanx dude! im having a bit of trouble adjusting the height and all at the moment
umm also with the ortofon carts when i put them on they sit alot lower so does that mean they would dig into the vinyl more and wear them out? just wondering thanx! cause currently ive put them away until i find out... its like cause the needle is on a donward angle it would push harder against the vinyl then the standard stanton ones
ta!

Congratulations Jah on your new decks. Its pretty simple to check them if pitch is ok or not. Simply look at the red dots ligted up by the 50Hz lamp if they appear like stopped on both 33 and 45 RPM area(little fluctuations are expected) then youre ok. The servo circuit on those machines PLL controlled (Phase Lock Loop) so its either right or wrong, no in between. I have better ways of checking them with a 1KHz test record and a frequincy counter but that simple light check should do just fine
