Why are girls so evil?

The following story is true though the details have been changed for simplicity.

I'm gonna surprise my gf with a new coat for her birthday. She finds out about the surprise, and when I call her up to ask her what time she wants me to pick her up to go out for her birthday dinner she says,

"Around 5:30 is alright, and wait till you see the great new coat I bought myself today"

And yes she did get a new coat for herself

everyone, who lives in a seasoned area, needs more than 1 coat. You've got your heavy coat for winter, your rain coat/*windbreaker for spring, your vest for cool/breezy days in the fall and your cute jackets to go with a nice dress, women only I presume, when you go out and it's chilly.

And that's just for starters. Then you get different styles/colors.

if she bought exactly the same coat as you, then you may have a case that she's a great mind reader who bought that coat just to be evil/an asshole to you. but I doubt it a little. just a little

otherwise, i don't see why she would be evil in this case

I've got only 3. Heavy duty winter coat (big, poofy, not stylish, but super warm,) a stylish winter coat (what I wear to shmancy things, or when the heavy duty one isn't necessary,) and a spring/rain coat.

But I could always use more.
