Evil Dead: The Musical
So i went to see the musical last night. Today is the last day its open, so i wanted to see this while i still had a chance. I was sitting front row, center in the splatter zone. after the intermission we were handed plastic ponchos to cover up from the upcoming bloody splattering. I was expecting to be entertained, but this show was simply phenomenal, and delivered on the expectations and then some. with memorable lines such as "What the F**K was that", and "Death is a bitch, a stupid bitch", not to mention the dozens of puns, the funny songs, and of course the dancing. The show was great, and being splattered by the fake blood just made it so much better.
After being splattered with the blood, i looked like i just came out of a slaughter house, and that is why i decided not to wash it off and take a long walk down the street just to see peoples reaction to how i looked. It was great, conversations stopped and people stared, but no one would look me in the eye. Then i went on the subway, and it was one of the funniest things i ever seen. People were trying so hard not to stare. It was a great night, and i had a nice shower and a long sleep, i recommend you try to watch it tonight if its not sold out.
Probably the only time I'd ever think of seeing a musical. How long was it? And what was the story like?
Saw it 2 weekends ago, very funny. Paid for the splatter zone & got nothing.
One lady got the BIGGEST glob of fake blood in her hair, so I'm glad that wasn't me, at least.
Campy, fun show. 2 thumbs up.
