Nem whips out the guitars... Accoustic chill out.

Heya folks

Just wrote a little chill out track. Haven't played guitar in a while so appologies if the guitar is slightly out of time.

It's a track that sounds like it might fit into a movie soundtrack and that's probably flattery but it's the only place I can think this would fit.

In this track I used an accoustic, Electric and a bass guitar with some soft synths and a few loops and a classic sample. It's not rocket science but thought I would share my Sunday mornings mood.

Inspired by the news... if you can call it inspiration.

Track: Brothers and Sisters
Length: 4:33 min
Quality: 320bps

DAW:
FL Studio 7

Guitars:
Washburn Accoustic
Erni Ball Music Man Bass Guitar
Fender original Telecaster

Softies:
z3ta+ Virus skin
Atmosphere
TS404

Plus a few pluggins from the Waves collection

Oh yeah, I know the harmonic section is especially out of time in the beggining, sorry folks.

Anyways, enjoy or not it's up to you. But thanks for listening.

That as the sweetest tune to my ears, I really liked it for the most part.

I think it needs to be tuned a bit better, the wave effect may be too much in some instances when the guitar is playing. other than that..bravo! I like to hear more tracks like such.

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying with regards to the tuning. I basically wrote it in the space of an hour this morning. Kind of hangover therapy if you will, the Fender especially was out of tune and couldn't be arsed with the bass either, but probably should have. he he.
I actually started messing with it too, it goes at 80 bpm so I just doubled the speed and started writing a DnB remix... god I hate DnB but it was actually quite fun. Started work on some driving trance in the afternoon and felt suitably inspired.

Thanks for checking it out anyways.

Cheers
Nem

Nice guitar intro, that vocal is not of my liking at all, sounds way rough, at least use some filters to make it less prominent, but this only me.
The tremolo, or gated effect in the guitar is pretty caothic.
I personally dont like your drum samples selection, they sound too EDM, this kind of stuff usually uses a real kick, layered with a sub bass.
In overall, is not bad, just too much experimental for me, but has potential, and in the specific genre, wich is not very chilled out, I am sure is at a good level .

Kopi =o.

in addition to what I previously posted....yeah, the vocal needs to go out, the EDM beat aspect combined with the guitar vibe is beautiful, very ambient, chill like.

I wish the track was longer because now I keep listening to this in a loop; I'd listen to a whole 60-90 min set of instrumental with the beats you put on.

edit: now that I listen to it on my headphones, the guitar tune is kind of similar to some ATB tunes. BUt again, loose the vocal, a 90 min ambient/chill set would be ... can't wait to listen to it
