Voting in Primary Elections

How does one vote in the primary election? Do you go to the local voting jurisdiction? There are no instructions anywhere I can find. It seems like someone wants to make the voting process such a hassle that many people don't bother voting.

for you.. January 29th for presidential, August 26th for state.

just go to you precinct voting spot and vote for your party. i don't know the independent rules in Florida, in NC, independents can choose a party and vote in it's primary.
