LOL - Just read it... unthinkable!

I dunno what to write in the title, so I've just written that...xD

ok here it goes:

a friend of mine, made a track, but when he shows it to everyone, everybody says smth like "nice, but i've heard it before...just don't know where".
so, they're always saying that he didn't make ths part of the breakdown (that i've sampled)... he sent this track to a label (from mine/his country, nothing big) and the answer he got was that the track was quite acceptable, but the problem was this part.
the label owner said that he recognized this part from some music but he didn't remember which.
well, seems like everyone is saying that, but...when it comes to say which track - no1 knows.
my mate is sick of this, so he asked me to put this sample here and check if anyone here CAN FIND THIS 'MELODY' ON ANY OTHER TRACK OUT THERE, so he can prove to everyone that he did not copy anything, that he has just made it by his own...or not (lol ).

SAMPLE ->[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

PS: I dunno if this is the right section?!

The Track ID Forum is probably the right one, but I don't think it's that big of a deal if it's here.

This melody is too simple to be copied from anywhere imo.

it has similar notes to diving faces. but by no means the same.

probably resembles about 1000 trance tracks. same old saw plucks and airy 90s trance feel. whether its the same notes or not - thats not a problem as far as i know.
