How many ways do you know how to count to eleven?

I was watching a documentary last night that absolutely blew my mind. It was about exploring the options that all of us have failed to realize in regards to the way we count to eleven.

I had always just thought that it was relatively straightforward and that 1 was followed by 2 which is followed by 3 and 4 and so on and so forth. But actually there are 46 different ways to count to eleven.

Some involve rhythmic breathing, others require enlisting in the navy, but never the less its still a better way of counting to eleven.

Just thought you all would like to know.

1 11 111 11111

Throughout my life, the number 1 in any form is my soul.

11.11 is my favourite time both day and night

I was born on the 11th August

My boyfriend was born in the 11th month

Rest assured, I will be doing something wonderful on the 11th of November 2011

Here is me in London in front of a building number...

Me too! And I see 11's everywhere (buildings, office memos, phone numbers, course codes), including glancing at clocks at 11:11 ALL the time.

I started waking up at exactly 3:33 am several times a week about six months ago. Now I see the number 33 everywhere...yeah I'm probably looking for it subconsiously at this point.

Have you seen "The Number 23"?

If not, you should, ASAP. You too, Rach.

So how do you count up to eleven, 46 different ways?

Posted by The Ear on Sep-11-2007 01:39:

perhaps you can simply arrive at 11 without counting any which way ... a subconscious state of being 11

Scary? no.

Hardcore drama? yes.

go for it...jim carrey's great in it

Posted by Intuition on Sep-11-2007 03:11:

I just watched it the other day. Pretty good, and who knew that Jim Carrey could play a serious role (in an actually good movie, I hated that Eternal Sunshine crap).
