DJ-Metatron...what happened to him?

There was a DJ that used to post regular mixes to these boards last year, and for the past couple years, but I have not seen him on these boards for some time now, and his website appears to not be hosted online anymore - really odd. Metatron's mixes were consistently really solid, and had great track selection. Some of them were titled such as: Lustral, Emnation, Absolute, Monolith, Nebulous, Glacial...

Well I'm just worried because he used to be on here all the time, with continuously great mixes he was putting out, and suddenly he's just been cold gone for nearly a year now. Anybody know if he's still around, doing music, or whatever...or what happened?

He did leave a message on the forum saying he needed to sort out some personal stuff and wouldn't have any time to mix for at least one year or so.

well... we all miss him and his contribution to trance. That's wondrous this thread was created, I wish Jason could read this. Unfortunately he must be kind of away from computer these days as he's not replying to emails (even old ones) and I don't see him on yahoo messanger any more. I'm personally very sad because of this. Let's hope he's going to straighten things up and return to his passion in the very near future.

heh, and thanks for your memory and kind words towards me, jacques! I'm much less active in this section since my hosting expired as well. I kinda took a break in the summer, we shall see if I'll restore my motivation next weeks. I wish I could do another mix with Jason...

Thanks Mon-soon for the quick reply - I have enjoyed both yours and Metatron's mixes through the years, and I knew the both of you were affiliated (I knew you were hosting some of his mixes through your site, and I had listened to a couple of your collaborative mixworks together, and really enjoyed everything coming out from the both of you. I was just concerned since Metatron seemed to play a vital role (in this TA community) in keeping great, fresh new sets churning out every couple weeks, and everything just stopped, and nobody here seems to have seen him in some great time now. I hope everything works out for him and we see him round here sometime again in the near future. He's been greatly missed (by me...and surely many other TAs).

I too hope we see him back mixing again. His two-part Lustral mix is probably my favourite mix of all time. It's by far my most played.

Hey, Jason (DJ-Metatron) is my cuz. Hes doing alright. Hes been busy with school and work all the time thats why he has taken a break from recording sets. I was just mixing with him the other night though. But ya i tell him he should continue making sets cuz i miss em also. They were awsome. Hes been pretty much teaching me to mix for the past year. Good times. I will let you know you guys said hey. Monsoon, i love the set you guys made together. It was awesome. My fav set he did would have to be Lustral and Incelescent. Great stuff.

I am actually working on my first mix. Just put it on a cd and gave it to Jason for him to critique. Hopefully I will hear from him soon, but I know gotta do some more work on it. Some tracks feel out of place so i gotta swap em But hopefully it will be done soon and I will be able to post it shortly.

Ya, sorry MoN-SooN for not replying to your messages from a long time ago. I'll make it up to you. And sorry to everyone for not staying active on the boards even though I wasn't posting mixes, kinda selfish

The story is I got fired from my job and had to focus on school, then I got obsessed with Magic the gathering( still am don't tell any American that though lol) and just lost the DJing bug for a while. All is well now, I got a new job a while ago and lately I've really been excited about getting back into it. Actually my cousin Lucas really got me into it with his new found passion for it. He's really caught on quick. I would like to record live sets with him and post em' up for you guys in the future and may work on some personalized sets like I did in the past. I dunno.

So, thanks a bunch for your guys support and look forward to some stuff from me.
