Yes yes welcome to the upset of the summer. Bit late on that one :

If it involves Daft Punk do you really expect it to be a regular run of the mills video?

Posted by nchs09 on Sep-10-2007 17:52:

Second-generation sampling.

First Daft Punk took the opening bars of "Cola Bottle Baby" by Edwin Birdsong and based "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" around it.

Now Kanye has based a track around a sample of a track based around a sample of another track.

Anybody know any other examples of second-generation sampling?

I don't even mind the song. In fact I don't find it that bad.

well, approximately 34,351,337 people have sampled it, so I'm sure it's happened somewhere along the line...

The second was a case of recreating rather than sampling, I think.

anyone got any articles or clips about the original amen break?
cause i know of it and know what is sounds like but never really knew about it, i always assumed (maybe incorrectly?) that amen was just the song that first used it
but by who?

I will agree with that 100%, his productions are fantastic but his voice has this annoying tone to it.
